Blu ray:
Loses a lot of points because this would be as good on DVD, because its filmed digitally the quality just isnt good enough for blu ray. Very grainy :

Movie:

I'll be honest, I didn't rush out and see this. I like Zombie movies and loved Sean of the Dead, i like alien invasion movies so surely this would be amazing? Yet I still didn't rush out to see it for some reason.

It is great. it's witty and real and funny.

Believe!

This is an extremely fun and extremely brilliant British comedy sci-fi horror! Directed by Joe Cornish who was part of the hilarious Adam and Joe show! The story is brilliant and original, a gang of youths fight to protect their block against an alien invasion in London. There is a fantastic cast of characters, Jodie Whittaker is a great actress and was very funny in both St, Trinians movies and plays a good female lead in this. Nick Frost is always funny no matter what, and the younger cast were brilliant too. The effects are cool and the aliens with their glowing teeth are awesome! This is a good fun gem of a film thats not to be missed!! There are some cool extras too.

They invaded, then got their heads kicked in!

This is a great light hearted, low budget British Alien invasion movie. There is alot of hype of this film being the next Shaun Of The Dead, but it's not quite good as that. The Alien design is brilliant and the creatures show real menace, coming off as a hybrid of an Alien ( from Aliens) a monkey, wolf and a rave party with the nasty glow stick effect jaws. The cast are likeable with two strong leads, but at times the acting is sub Grange Hill. This is billed as a comedy sci-fi but it's actually not as funny as it thinks it is, but in contrast to what it lacks in self knowing laughs it more than makes up for in some genuine jumps and jolts as the creatures attack. The film also has a great urban soundtrack that amps up the action. This film is a loving reminder of the great movies we all used to watch in the early days of video, most of all the early works of John Carpenter such as Escape From New York or Walter Hills classic The Warriors, crossed with Kidulthood & Adulthood.
Add all this up and this film is very enjoyable that should have a cult following it deserves.

' NOT A GREAT IDEA TO BE AROUND 'MOSES' he's being chased

durring a street mugging something falls from the sky, this allows trainee nurse 'sam' the chance to run from her attackers.
the object that had fallen had pierced the roof of a car giving the street-gang chance to rob the vehicle, however there's something inside the car that ''bites''
the unknown , creature is hunted down by the gang and killed, they take the trophy back to the block where they live.
more objects fall from the sky, the gang led by 'moses' realize that there is more of the creatures arriving and decide to hunt them down, however there's a problem ----the creatures with glowing teeth are one hell of a lot bigger than the one they had hunted down earlier.
the creatures are attacking 'the block' it now becomes a battle for survival.
this is an ok film, which in truth is ''on the fun-side'' of horror though it does have it's violent moments.
