Experience the incomparable martial arts of Shaolin in this blockbuster motion picture event from legendary producer, Jackie Chan.

China's last imperial Dynasty has fallen and a ruthless warlord (Andy Lau, House of the Flying Daggers) amasses a vast fortune through the violent subjugation of his people. Faced with a brutal betrayal, he runs for his life, seeking redemption in the fabled Shaolin Temple. When his enemies discover his location, he must stand with his new brothers and fight his life's greatest battle...

With breathtaking action from the martial arts director of The Transporter 1&2 and an all-star cast of Kung Fu superstars, Shaolin sets a new benchmark for Asian Action Cinema!

if your somebody who can appreciate the ways of shaolin and what the monks stand for you should throughly enjoy this movie..the story is easy to follow and very moving at times..the sceneary is spectacular from looking at the temples to villages and surrounding countryside..when you finally get to see the monks train it is like watching art being performed on a stage it truly is of the highest level..the action and kung fu is a joy to watch and should be enough to fill anyones needs who likes this genre..
jackie chan plays a good little part as the chef who isnt to over the top with jokes and kung fu and can be quite serious at times..
as for the picture its what you would expect from bluray..
the sound on the other hand i found to be a little flat and felt it was lacking any umph or real bass even when turned up..
for me the best part of the movie was when the end credits were rolling.. the scenery the music score and watching the monks train nearly brought a tear to my eye..just gobsmacking stuff...
all in all worthy of putting in the collection..
