If you like the quality of the Bourne productions / stories and you enjoyed Neeson in Taken then this shouldn't disappoint. Not sure why people complain about likenesses to other films. It's called a 'genre', this enables people to make educated decisions about movie purchases.

The reason it's not quite like Taken is pretty straightforward, because where Taken had a simple, effective and immediately attention grabbing premise before getting into the action, Unknown bogs itself down in a convoluted story that becomes too ridiculously twisty and topsy-turvey for it's own good.
When Martin Harris (Liam Neeson) is injured in a terrible car accident on holiday with his wife (January Jones) in Berlin, he awakens to discover that his wife knows nothing of who he is and is in fact in Berlin with another man.................whom she believes is her husband, Martin Harris. Understandably rather confused by this, Martin begins to investigate alongside the only other person who might be able to help him. The driver of the taxi he first crashed in (played by Diane Kruger).
The action quotient is suitable, and the nicely filmed European setting works very well for the story (lending a faint Bourne vibe to proceedings as well) leading to very enjoyable and choreographed action moments and a dramatic finale, but the over twisting of the script does the film in as the final realisation is made. Whether one predicts it beforehand or not doesn't matter so much - the film just seems to want to be pleased with it's own cleverness in delivering it, when it's actually less a matter of cleverness, and more a result of silly syndrome.
It's a decent actioner that certainly looks just swell on Blu-ray, but also a bit frustrating as well.
