This is certainly a must for any big Stallone fan, this is probably the first time the U.K has got such a fantastic collection of these movies, All of these movies are classic action movie packed with violence and total destruction at the hands of the worlds most awesome super soldier RAMBO!! This is a must for fans or anyone who does not own one of these films!!
Old-School 80's action hero's always had the coolest names, and John Rambo, The Nam Vet who unravelled in an orgy of cop killing in the lean and still the best in the series First Blood.
The sequels sent him back to Nam, Afghanistan, and Burma with cartoon violence ( Helipcopter meets exploding arrow) replacing the gritty soul searching.
This excellent grenade packaged set comes with a formidable battalion of seen before extras, but before you pull the pin and open it, it's sadly not complete enough to include the Region 1 extended cut of Rambo.
None the less if you already own them on DVD it's worth upgrading as the picture is excellent for films of this age.
First Blood. 1982.
The best of the series and one of the best action films of the 80's. It's been copied a thousand times but never beaten.
*****
Rambo First Blood Part 2 1985.
This is a excellent comic book movie the action is superb although the plot dates the film to the uneasy days of Regan's cold war 80's propoganda, But Stallone shows why he was the best action hero of the time.
****
Rambo III 1988.
Even on it's release the film was dated as Russia had pulled out of Afghanistan and the action fans had found a new action hero in the form of John McClane.
Now after 9/11 the whole film now leaves a bad taste in the mouth
**
RAMBO (Rambo 4) 2008.
The old war horse returns in this back to basics retro fitted onslaught. For all it's crimes against humanity I guess Burma had it coming. Jar droppingly graphic violence as Rambo brings out the BIG Guns and an even BIGGER Knife.
****
A superb package, but with Rambo 5 ( Early title isThe last Stand) in pre-production it may be better waiting until John Boy has completed his world tour of destruction.
See if you like......
The Expendables.
Commando.
Cobra.
Predator.
Road House.
Missing in action Trilogy.
Invasion U.S.A.
Red Dawn.

These films are excellent to watch in hd, the only problem is grenade case it comes in is very cheaply done. It's weightless thin plastic that feels like it could break at any time. would be one star but it's Rambo, the films are all time classics. Wouldn't have payed the 50 quid if I had known the quality of casing. Poorly printed on lettering on case as well.
love the films so had to give this 5 stars, but if you want quality and not just some crappy cheap gimmiick then stay away from this very cheap moulded grenade.get ya self a proper box set thats out there.sent it back to play and they happily gave my money back
