This is a very well made comic book movie with a good story and a great cast, Michael Fassbender stole the show with his portrayal of a younger Magneto, there are several cool new mutants and a few you have seen before, good story that builds up the characters relationships and sets up the future X-men films! Good effects, any fan should love this a fantastic Marvel film, not the best this year but still a movie to see.

I loved the first 2 x-men films and felt they were a breath of fresh air. They could have been awful but were balanced perfectly. You then had Last Stand, which was not as good as the first two, but still quite good. Following on from this was wolverine which was a big let down.
A short break from the X-men franchise was then need. After seeing the trailer for 1st class, I liked the concept and felt ready for another x-men film.
I was far from disappointed. This film was perfectly balanced like the first two. Although I know the director was different, I felt it could have bin directed by the same guy.
This film restores faith in the franchise and leaves you thirsty for more.
I will purchase this on Blu-ray and will be eager to watch it again, by the time it is released.

Call it what you will, prequel , reboot, there is no denying that this film is up there with the best in the series (X2) . This film charts the origins of the mutans struggle. It starts off where the first movie began in the concentration camps of WWII but expands upon what was seen. Then charts Magnito's revenge fuelled Nazi hunt for those who exterminated his parents. The plot is great as it centres on the manipulation of the Cuban missle crisis of 1962 and in doing so gives some of the main characters of the original films a good back story. Although the key characters of X-Men 1 - 3 are missing they are never missed although look out for a scene stealing cameo of Logan (Wolverine) as he tells Professor X and Magnito where they can go when they start to recruit their mutant team. The new characters are great, but with so many it's hard to fully give them depth and as always the bad guys get the best scenes. Also if I wanted to be picky I did notice a X-Men timeline error as How come at the start of X-Men The Last Stand you see Proffessor X walking unaided in what was supposed to be 1986, but at the end of First Class he gets paralized in 1962?
Apart from that this is top class comic book stuff, that has managed to breath fresh air into a series that showed signs of loosing it's X Factor with the disappointment of The Last stand and the unremarkable Wolverine.
X-Men First Class is indeed first class and the series has got it's mojo back!
See if you like......
X-Men Trilogy.

Thor.
Ironman 1&2.
Spiderman Trilogy.

Before he was Professor X
Before he was Magneto
Before they were ENEMIES
They were ALIES
The first 33 minutes is a little bit slow building up the story of how Charles Xavier (Prof. X) and Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto) how they were at the age of 12 until they meet just after the World War 2 in 1947. Then you will enjoy the superhuman abilities for the next hour and half of this entertainment movie which I've enjoyed
