Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America's UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever.

For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-traveling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town-a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Gollings (Frost).

Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes...

I hate to give a bad review but having viewed this movie I failed to find it funny its way way below Hot Fuzz and as such was a big disappointment given the subject matter I was expected so much more

 amazing!

brilliant movie comes across how Pegg and Frost are big scifi geeks all the movie references a real laugh out loud movie was a bit put off when i found out who voiced Paul! But it turns out it's his face that annoys because i enjoyed his performance in Paul! highly recommend the movie to anyone with a sense of humour!

For a start, you either love Simon Pegg and Nick Frost or you don't. This is the third film in the planned trilogy of films, coming after Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz. And this is very, very funny.

Basic premise, without spoiling anything, the two main leads are science fiction 'geeks' who have gone to a convention in America. They have seemingly been interested in Aliens (talking and even writing related comic books) for years and years. While driving across country in a rented mobile home, they witness a car mysteriously flip and crash, for no apparent reason.

They then meet Paul - an alien, who is on the run from a Government camp intent on conducting experiments on him - and just wants to go home.

If I give you more details on the story, I will spoil it and I don't want to do that. Suffice to say, they encounter obstacles along the way, pick up an extra passenger by accident - who adds a lot of comedy to the film - and are being chased by rogue police officers. Let's face it, in every film like this, you need the bad people and the element of threat.

If you love these two, and find their humour hilarious, as I do, then my advice is to get this film. You will love it! And it's quite cheap now too, so one for the collection!
