I didn't know anything about Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy never read the novel and didn't get the chance to see it in cinema however being a big Blu-Ray collector I heard a lot of good things about the movies and when I saw there was a steelbook I thought why not check it out. So glad I did it was a fantastic film well written, well directed, well made and well performed by all the actors Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Toby Jones, Benedict Cumberbatch they were all great especially Benedict Cumberbatch I was really interested seeing how well he would do going from Sherlock to a major movie like this and he was amazing really looking forward to seeing him in the upcoming Star Trek sequel I'm sure he'll be great
Story 10/10

As far as Picture and Sound Quality go I had no problems with them I thought that the picture and sound was very clear

Well worth the pick up worth your time watching it I'm glad that spy films are still being made and not Just a Bond film or a Mission Impossible film a different spy film Highly Recommend you see Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Gary Oldman's great, but the film...

One of the dullest & most boring films I've seen for years, barely worth 1 star but I give it an extra one for Oldman's makeup & performance - which is excellent. I haven't read the book so I don't know if this is a good adaptation or not. From the reviews I was not expecting the typical Hollywood action-packed thrill ride, but a gripping, well-paced thriller. After 30 minutes I was getting bored, after an hour I was about to stop watching but expected something to happen that would lift this film off the floor. By the time that the identity of the double agent was revealed I was past caring.

  Eye spy!

TTSS is at heart an old school spy thriller, but it is very well crafted and makes you think quite hard throughout right up to the final closing moments. Most of the cast do a good job in their respective roles but for me the one's that stood out were oldman and hardy. I did enjoy it but if you are looking for a bond or bourne type of thriller then this certainly is not the movie for you. Very Good Overall.

  A Must See

The film of 2011. A must see. Gary Oldman is fantastic in the role of Le Carre's spymaster George Smiley. The plot concerns the hunt for a mole in British Intelligence during the Cold War. The supporting cast is the creme de la creme of British acting aristocracy. If you buy only one film in 2012 then this is it.

  A Cracking Spy Movie

Was a bit hesitant going to watch this, despite the rave reviews in the media.
The reason being that it was being described as a very good but very complicated Spy movie.
Where if you missed one line of dialogue, you would NOT GET IT.
I found it to be a pretty straight forward movie to follow, and also a very Entertaining one.
The opening 5 mins set the plot into motion in very dramatic fashion, and after that it is a calm and calculated drama.
Engrossing and Enjoyable and well Directed all the way.
The highlight of the movie is the Amazing Cast which is headed by the Always Sublime yet rather under rated Gary Oldman, he delivers one of those powerful performances by not doing much and remaining very mysterious throughout.
He is helped out in no small measure by Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Toby Jones. John Hurt, Cathy Burke and the next big thing Tom Hardy. All the actors nail their roles with ease.
Highly recommended for most people, A Must Watch for fans of the Spy genre
