The original cast returns for this fourth and last instalment in the American Pie series.

All the American Pie characters we met a little more than a decade ago are returning to East Great Falls for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn't and that time and distance can't break the bonds of friendship. It was summer 1999 when four small-town Michigan boys began a quest to lose their virginity. In the years that have passed, Jim and Michelle married while Kevin and Vicky said good-bye. Oz and Heather grew apart, but Finch still longs for Stifler's mom. Now these lifelong friends have come home as adults to reminisce about - and get inspired by-the hormonal teens who launched a comedy legend.

Been waiting for the return of American Pie. After seeing the other three I can say this is easily just as good or even better than the third.
Stifler as usual made the film the way it is

As good as the others loved the end.

13 years after American pie, all are reunited in a high school reunion and that does in clued Stifler. This film like the others does not lose it humor and is just as funny and if not funnier then the last. I've not laughed to hard at a film in a long time. Recommended to any American Pie Fan.

The gang has all grown..... apart from Stifler!

It's been almost ten yeas since American Wedding and after that all those direct to DVD spin off's, So there's no better time to catch up with the gang and see how they are dealing with adulthood. The thing about the series that lifted it above all the rest of the gross-out teen comedies was under all the gags was a heart that rang true and we could relate and also like the characters. Now with them all grown up the film also plays it smart, by although at times being gross out funny they still have to deal with all the baggage and problems of family life..... Apart from Stifler who has not grown up one bit. So the gang meet up for the Class of 99 re-union and try to re-live those glory days whilst also balancing family life. As you can understand these now thirty somethings do not fit in to the teenage life styles of today and react more like dirty old men. To this there are some great 's still after anything with a heatbeat and getting revenge on some identikit teenage guys. But the heart of the film again liess on Jim and his dad's relationship who again gives advice but is also quite touching due to his loss three years prior. The film does at times feels a bit tired as it seems to fall between two stools as the cast are too old to fit into the teen-comedy market and the context is too gross-out to fit in the comedy drama market, but when funny it hits a bullseye even if it's just to see Stifler's revenge on Finch and you must stick around while the end credits roll as if this is the last film in the series it does go out on a high.
The American Pie series may now feel tamer after rescent years gross-out comedies such as Both Hangover's and theTeenage audience may wonder what all the fuss is about, but for all of us who loved the original trilogy they should enjoy this finall slice of pie.
