  Population Control

| | See all SykeStudiO's reviews (22)

This movie owes a more than a small nod to "Logan's Run". It may point the way towards a solution to the exponential population explosion that we are currently witnessing globally. Over the centuries, there have been many disasters, natural or man-made, that have culled world populations, the most recent being WWII. Disease control and health services tend to legislate against another plague and, despite the situation across the Middle-East, it seems unlikely that a catastrophic conflict will break out in the future.

The premise of "In Time" and indeed "Logan's Run" is an interesting and terrifying one. Let's hope that our so-called "governments" don't start to get ideas!

'WORTH TAKING 'TIME' -OUT TO WATCH.

| | See all rbmusicman's reviews (893)

some time into the not too distant future, time becomes the currency'
at 25, if you have the collateral you can live forever without ageing, however the world's resourses could not support an endless number of 'live forever' candidates.
if yer' poor, 'time' runs out a lot quicker as the cost of ''living'' gets dearer.
our heroes, who have had their time stolen, are set to have an action packed race against the clock to save themselves before time really does run-out
this really is a sci-fi movie that's worth taking time out to...........enjoy

  "...GREAT FUN SCI-FI.."

I think this movie went past quite unseen by most and is very underrated as really its rather good, the story is far fetched indeed but its sci-fi and anything goes! Its an interesting and original story with some good ideas and is well paced with a good performance from both the leads Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. The effects are cool and the overall feel of the movie works well I think and its not too over the top, easy to watch good fun movie thats worth checking out, im sure you have the time!!

  Good concept badly delivered!

after watching the trailers for this film i had to watch it, money=time? u get to spend your life? looked very promising even with JT acting (which actually was quite good) but unfortunately this film failed to deliver, in what i think they could of made into to top movie, it seemed short, very predictable, and i dont think it went deep enough into the characters lives. they could of done so much more with it. even though this sounds like a bad review its not, the film itself is worth a watch but i was dissapointed and thought they could of done a lot more with it!

Promises so much delivers so little!

Excellent premise for this movie. Money abolished and currency is time, once you hit 25 you have 1 year left to live unless you earn more time. Real promising start to the movie with Timberlake coming across especially strong but once the 'girl from Mamma-Mia in a dodgy wig' makes an appearance it gets horribly predictable & rather boring! Goes from interesting sci-fi thriller to futuristic Bonnie & Clyde adventure romp. Really dissapointed in this one but lots of promise for Timberlakes acting career.
