I cant understand all the great reviews this film has been getting.Skyfall is a fairly boring movie that despite an impressive start with a great pre titles action scene, gets bogged down in a boring drawn out plot concerning a former mi6 agent with a grudge against M.Daniel Craig doesnt cut it for me as James Bond.He is far too uncouth and average looking for the part. There is very little memorable action in this film ( a cardinal sin for a Bond film ) and the villain and a large part of the plot seems to be ripped off from The Dark Knight.A minor improvement on the dreadful Quantum Of Solace but thats not saying much.

Will remain as one of the best 007 films of all time.

I had high expectations going in and Skyfall was everything I hoped it would be and more. Personally I've always loved the ones more where Bond is carrying out a mission which is somehow personal to him (such as in Licence To Kill). Casting Bardem as the main antagonist is stroke of genius because as an actor the man is a force of nature. This is also Dench's best and most meaningful turn as M though bittersweet. Can't wait to find out where they take 007 from here.

I have never ever watched a james bond film in my life, i always thought it would be terrible with the same plot line over and over. hes shoots a few people gets with a girl finds the boss and has a big fight at the end! well i guess it is that but i loved every minute of it and since i watched this one im going through all the james bond films and i am enjoying them all then i expected!!

This being the first Bond i watched in the cinema, i was expecting it to be the best after all the 'rave reviews'. I am a huge Bond fan and after the stunning opening sequence as soon as the opening credits run it went flat. The villain was about as sinister as David Walliams character Sebastian Love, and plot holes left right and centre. It seems to be a set up film for the next Bond......... I wished i had remote while i was sat watching this film in the cinema to see how much was left as it dragged on soo much. I wont say too much as to spoil it for those who haven't seen it. But suffice to say it was a bit boring and not worth my entrance fee. When i walk out of the cinema if its a good film i will say i will get that on blu ray as soon as it comes out, and i walked out this time and thought nothing like that at all except can i get my money back? lol Maybe i watched the outtakes? But i didn't see the best Bond ever
Watch Casino Royale as that was a good Daniel Craig Bond outing and the Triple Disk (CR QoS and Skyfail) Blu Ray set seems pretty good for 25 quid.

This film had to be done!...

Hype aside. A film will only be as good as the watcher wants it to be or will let it be. You can use some initail reviews from various reviewers but then make your own mind up of what you thought of it. Many films have had people saying it is brilliant! Whilst others are of the complete opposite.

Admittedly, Quantum of Solice did some damage. A film that lies with maybe a couple of other Bond films of past, but it will always remain in that catalogue. Any true Bond fan will have their favourites but will also have a soft spot for the poorer installments. A Bond film needs to bring that warm satisfaction feel to a Bond fan. Skyfall did this in fantastic style, properly slapping me round the face with a glove that contained a lead covered brick, but left me enjoying the result! The film has made it into the top Bond films for me. Awesome film from start to finish- a classic Bond for sure. Very cleverly executed and ties up alot of the crap that Daniel Craig's portrayal of Bond has shown us over the last two films. It will have you in all sorts of emotions throughout. And as for the final scene, although initially injecting some sadness, it had me smiling with true delight in the knowledge that this final scene sets up the Bond franchise for a further 50 years! I cannot wait to put this film into it's deserved spot in final position in the (current) Blu-ray box set!

As Shortlist stated- It would take a brave man to say that this was the best Bond. But it certainly is the best of Bond.

This Is How It Was Meant To Be!

This is the way Ian Fleming intended James Bond to be. For me this portrays his books more so than any other James Bond film.

As another reviewer has stated, this films dares to do something different and it works incredibly well. Daniel Craig plays Bond to perfection. You see that he is actually human, and not just an invincible action hero. Which gives the audience a more emotional feel towards the character and more connection to the film.

With a few twists, the brilliant introduction to some old characters but with new faces, lots of humour, action packed scenes and the outstanding performances from Judi Dench as M and Javier Bardem as Silva, this film is a MUST SEE!
