Final Destination 5 3D (Blu-ray)

This series has come along way now and never fails to get old as long as there is plenty of bloody carnage and mayhem at the hand of death himself, there is plenty of it here, lots more original kills and gory scenes to make you whimper and squirm at the screen, the open sequence is not that great there has been better ones with previous films but its still great, this movie has the best ending out of the lot, a very awesome twist that is very unexpected and quite clever making it much more original and stand apart from the others, if youre a fan of the others then this is a must. Its good to see Tony Todd make a come back too, this is good horror popcorn fun and one of the best horror franchises that Hollywood has got left.

If you are a fan of the other final destinations then there is no reason why you wouldnt enjoy the latest installment. Lets be fair, the story is far from original, there's only so much that can be done with the "people survive a freak accident, and are one by one stalked and killed by death in the most gruesome way possible" idea, however this has a good attempt at introducing some new ideas and twists to the simple formula. The deaths are also very inventive and keep you on the edge of your seat, far better than the other sequels had to offer. The acting is also reasonable enough, and the effects are generally good; in particular, the initial bridge disaster, as is the 3D which is definitely above average. Also the return of Tony Todd was a good added bonus. Anyway, if you managed to sit through the disaster that was "The Final Destination" (number 4) then i can guarantee you that this movie is a huge improvement on that awful sequel. If you loved the original or are just looking for a gory, edge of your seat, not to be taken too seriously horror movie with a few good twists, this is well worth checking out.

Big fan of the final destination movies this is by far the best all because the 3d effects are amazing!!!

To be honest, I'm not a fan of the others or this type of film. We bought it as we wanted to try out the new 3d telly.
Let's be honest here, I didn't remotely think this was even the slightest bit scary, the storyline is .....well...as short as teenagers die in horrific ways.
My wife and I had a ball watching it though. We laughed out loud on more than a couple of the deaths and there were even a few ewwww moments. We enjoyed trying to guess how they were going to die. The gymnastic bit was hysterically unpredictable. Well worth watching in 3d too. The effects were very good and on occasion were up there with some of the best I've seen.
In short, don't watch for frights unless you really are that easily scared. Do watch it for a bit of gruesome fun.
