X-Men: First Class brings together the epic scale and action of a classic blockbuster with a character driven story that unveils the beginning of the X-Men saga - and a secret history of the Cold War and our world at the brink of nuclear Armageddon. As the first class discovers, harnesses and comes to terms with their formidable powers, alliances are formed that will shape the eternal war between the heroes and villains of the X-Men universe. The British dream team behind Kick Ass - director Matthew Vaughn and writer Jane Goldman - are joined by a stellar cast including James McAvoy (Wanted), Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds), Nicholas Hoult (A Single Man) and Jason Flemying (Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) in one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.

  • Cerebro: The Ultimate Mutant Database - replicates what happens when Charles locates mutants through Cerebro and allows you to learn more about various mutants, connect them to key events, decipher connections between them and much more (additional mutants can be unlocked through BD Live)
  • Children of the Atom - Multi-Part Documentary on the X-Men including the following elements: 'Second Genesis', 'Band of Brothers', 'Transformation', 'Suiting Up', 'New Frontier: a Dose of Style', 'Pulling Off the Impossible', 'Sound & Fury' and 'Untitled Closing'
  • 13 Deleted Scenes
  • Bonus Digital Copy
  • 'Triple Play Edition' includes the movie on 3 formats: Blu-ray, DVD & Digital Copy!

This is a very well made comic book movie with a good story and a great cast, Michael Fassbender stole the show with his portrayal of a younger Magneto, there are several cool new mutants and a few you have seen before, good story that builds up the characters relationships and sets up the future X-men films! Good effects, any fan should love this a fantastic Marvel film, not the best this year but still a movie to see.

Really enjoyed this movie, if people have become a bit bored of the X Men universe this brings it back to life with a BANG.
No boring bits, always Interesting, brilliant set up, different conflicts of emotion, very well acted.
The story starts with a very interesting scenario and never lets up. It is aided by a coherent script, tight direction and cool Special Effects.
But the crowning glory is the performances from the 2 Lead Actors James Mc Avoy and Michael Fassbender, who are like chalk and cheese, but who both have valid points.
Overall a very entertaining movie

The dark knight of X-men movies!

I honestly don't think you can get a more better x-men movie than this. The story is fantastic and much more mature than most comic book movies. Well written and stylishly directed by Matthew Vaughn. Michael Fassbender and James Mcavoy deliver the best performances and have great chemistry! Magneto is incredible in this! The effects are outstanding and Kevin Bacon even shines as the villain. Very entertaining! Probably the best comic book movie after Nolans Batman films and Spiderman 2.

 Finally X-Men is back

After the first two X-Men movies they began to systematically kill the franchise with the extremely disappointing X-Men 3 and the average at best Wolverine.

Not to worry though because the franchise has been saved with this thoroughly enjoyable prequel. Both McAvoy and Fassbender had the daunting tasks of following in the footsteps of the iconic Stewart and McKellen. Unfortunatley for McAvoy he falls a bit short. While he does an ok job of the role I just feel he concentrated too much on trying to be the Patrick Stewart Xavier rather than attempting to make the role his own. The same however, cannot be said of the excellent Fassbender. Similar to Heather Ledger's regeneration of The Joker, he has really grabbed the bull by the horns here and turned in a great performance based on the character Magneto rather than Ian McKellen's Magneto. Just like when someone says, The Joker, I picture Nicholson and Ledger, now when someone says Magneto I think McKellen and Fassbender.

Excellent stuff, enjoy!!!!

Saying 'My friend' over and over does not replace the need for actual character development!!!

This does for X Men what Twilight did to Vampires. Make of that what you will.
