  GREAT IDEA FOR A THRILLER

| | See all HONESTBAZ's reviews (299)

This tense thriller takes a while to get to the crux of the story, but it is interesting enough getting to it,as we get to know the characters and there's a bit of tense action to start off.

When these mountain climbers find a girl, just about alive down in a very small space with a little water and a breathing pipe, they soon work it it has to be for money and they have to rescue her,get her to safety. Easier said than done.
The girl's rescuers soon find themselves on the hunt from her capturers and the action really starts.

There are a lot of nasty falls and incidents to get you wincing and the action is done just right for my liking. Okay,it's over the top,so what? it's entertaining.
The acting is great,as you would expect from Melissa George, the rest of the cast is good too.
So a decent thriller with a great idea, played out well, with plenty of action,i was left satisfied.

Been to highlands a few times and recognised much of the scenery a really fantastic place, the climbing scenes were great the falling scenes even better! the idea of a little girl kidnapped and held underground chilling, but the ending ruined the film for me, cant really say why as that would ruin it for you, i just thought it was daft! where did all the emergency services suddenly appear from!

  So-So Thriller

This wasn't a bad movie but it was a little slow in places and the budget probably didn't help the film makers much. Overall it was quite enjoyable in parts and melissa george was pretty good and some of the scenery looked awesome. Give it a go you may like it.

If you love a good nail biting thriller then make sure you see this, a beautiful film with lovely locations and plenty of well paced thrills, the story is great and gritty and well acted by a smart cast especially the brilliant actress Melissa George. This is a small film thats very underrated and deserves to be seen, the picture quality is awesome on bluray.

Melissa George plays gutsy mountaineer and shows just as much derring-do as as Tom Cruise sky scaper climbing antics in M.I.4 as she leaps from crag to cranny in this breathless tense thriller thriller.
Along with Ed Speleers (Eragon), she's chased by sniper kidnappers in the Scottish Highlands, which leads to all manner of impressive, gravity-defying scraps, from descending a rock face with no rope, surving the currents of swelling rock pools, dongeing bulllets and playing hide and seek in a small Scottish village.
This film is a very tense thriller that once starts never hardly lets grip. The final act is a little miss-judged and seems very out of place to the survival elemnts to the previouse two thirds of the film, but it's a small price to pay for such an exciting, brillaintly shot thriller.
Equally impressive are this disc's numerous extras, including a 70 minute Making Of and a look at director Julian Gilbey attempting to conquer alps The Matterhorn and The Eiger. It's all very daring stuff.
If you like survival thrillers than this is a must see.
