Breaking Dawn Part 1 is a romantic vampire drama starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene and Maggie Grace.

I have to admit to quite enjoying the first Twilight movie but sequels New Moon and Eclipse disappointed although Breaking Dawn Part 1 is easily the worst of the franchise so far.

The first hour of this movie is completely pointless. The wedding and following honeymoon are way too soppy and melodramatic. Nothing happens apart from the lead characters looking sad while angst pop music plays in the background.

The movie picks up a bit in the second half but by that point I was too bored to care. These are supposed to be vampire movies with at least some action and drama but there is hardly any of that in this movie.

Dreamgirls director Bill Condon lays on the emotion and teen angst way too thick and allows this movie to become an overblown melodrama. Boring stuff.

 best yet

this is the best twilight yet by far when it first came out the very first one, twilight i got dragged into watching it and to be honest it was a bit dull but to come this far in the cgi, action and romance of it is brilliant i bought it the day it came out and have watched it everyday so far its a film that u have to watch more than once even if you arent a twilight fan id still recommend this to you.
ok... so at the end it did break in a bit of a silly place but to be fair the amount of detail throughout this film is excellent and it is a gd job they went for two film rather than one because it really shows.

 Distinctly average film

I have seen and enjoyed the previous installments of this movie series based on Stephenie Meyer's novels. However, this latest installment was a complete disappointment for me as I found it to be in my opinion no more than a cash in for Twilight fans.

The initial part of the film which featured Bella & Edward's wedding and honeymoon was so overblown and pointless that I was looking at my watch to see how much longer the film had to go. At one point I thought I was actually watching someones wedding video rather than a feature film as it dragged on for so long.

By the time the story started to pick up I had lost any interest in what was happening, in my opinion Breaking Dawn should have been a single movie instead of being split into two parts even if that single movie was 3 hours. There just isn't enough to keep the audience engrossed for two films.

Fingers crossed that Part 2 pays off as Part 1 was a major disappointment.
