the film delves into one of the worlds most secretive mans life and achievements.
'reds in the bed ? well, 'j. edgar ' built his reputation on a anti-communism platform, and the bringing down of the 30's gangsters.
he built a libary of information on just about every significant person on 'U.S' soil, and no doubt beyond.
he built an investigation unit into the allmost untouchable F.B.I.
he served under eight presidents during his career including of course 'the kennedy's'
who was this man ? did he obtain too much power ? the film will not give you all the answers, of course.
however, this is without question a remarkable and significant movie,in which 'leonardo dicaprio' is outstanding and well supported by the cast on show.
put this together with legendary director and actor 'clint eastwood' and you have a masterpiece' ..................enjoy
very interesting and well made, although based on a lot of things that were only speculated an unproven. still worth a watch.
