  Absolutely dreadful

This sequel makes the first film look like Citizen Cain!
Quite simply one of the worst films ever made. Do not waste your money.

  Great Fun

Always been aware of the character...never saw the first one (looked rubbish)...never saw any trailers...thoroughly enjoyed it. Cage was funny when he "goes nuts" The riders scenes were fantastic, Idris Elba is great to see in anything...In no-way is this Dark Knight territory, but thats not necessaryly a bad thing :)

  Very Disappointing Sequel

I was so looking forward to this, despite the negative media reviews. Although the Rider looks stunning, with alot more obviously spent on the VFX, this is soooooo dull. brought the Blu-ray for best quality and although the picture is faultless, the movie does not match it. Nic Cage seems different in his approach with this film, too much over acting (yeah i know, that's his thing) and emphasis on being 'crazy'. All the best bits were in the trailer. Stick with the first film, which also looks superb on Blu-ray.

  cool

Good film, storyline wasn't as good as the first, kinda just made it to carry on from the first. Good special effects. overall a pretty cool film, added to my collection.

I really wanted to enjoy this movie, with it having Nicholas Cage in it and also having 3D. The main problem with the film was that it had no go in it despite explosions and special effects it just sucked. The men who directed this movie are the directors of crank 1 and 2 and that is all I could think about whilst watching this poor movie...
So in short:
-bad 3D
- bad acting
-pointless plot

I watched this having enjoyed the first one a reasonable amount and thought they would make at least an attempt to improve it.
Unfortunately they failed on EVERY point.
The acting is awful. Even for a nic cage film. He looks old, the storyline is poor even for a film like this.
The worst bit for me was the directing. There are some very odd moments where the film goes all......odd with focusing and speeding up for no reason.
Even for a no brain film I was disappointed and would not waste my time or effort with this. The 3d effects were very poor. Very poor.
A mess of a film.

  As bad as the original

I bought Ghost Rider 2 3D to try out my 3D ty and it wasnt a good decision. I watched the original and I have to say i didnt rate that much so if you liked Ghost Rider then this review probably wont mean a lot. The film from start to finish was horrible the story line is paced at a stupidly high speed and the severe lack of action had me looking away from my tv. The 3D is very average and pointless through most of the film. Cage is a great actor but if he continues to do movies like this his career will soon be over. Even the brilliant Idris Elba cant save this film. If you didnt like Ghost Rider I would stay clear as this is as bad if not worse. 1 / 5

  PANTS!!!!!!!!!! (honest)

I really can't say much about this film as it sucked! I liked the original movie, but this one put me to sleep! The film was dependent on the 3D which also sucked! At least the original movie had stuff happening in it and it had a pretty reasonable story. but this one had no story, the CGI was too heavily used and was really obvious and cheap looking and I wasted 16 quid on this rubbish! It's not even good enough to use as a coaster! If you liked THE PUNISHER, DARK MAN, X-MEN etc THEN DO NOT BUY THIS MOVIE COS YOU WON'T ENJOY IT!!!! STICK WITH THE ORIGINAL MOVIE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I usually like Nicholas Cage, but this was really bad....in fact if you don't have it, buy DRIVE ANGRY that was much more enjoyable than this!!! Soz to disappoint anyone :(

  Not bad...but certainly not great

I really enjoyed the first Ghost Rider movie - granted not as much as the likes of Thor, Captain America, Avengers Assemble etc - but enjoyed it none-the-less.

So I was really looking forward to this sequel which I missed at the cinema. Despite the apparent lower budget that others have commented on, I thought the cast and special effects were very good - as others have mentioned, The Rider is better represented here and does come across as darker and more sinister.

But I have two major gripes with the film. Firstly, I don't think it was edited very well at all...seemed to jump around a lot and in a few places there seemed to be glaring plot holes?

Secondly I thought it was all a bit...flat. Even the action scenes were just a bit "yeah OK so what". Ghost Rider provides ample opportunity for ridiculously outrageous fights, explosions, fire effects, screaming motorbikes...but it was all a bit subdued really?

There are a few good scenes - I particularly enjoyed those with Idris Elba as the alcoholic biker monk - but other than that there weren't too many stand out moments.

So all in all - worth a purchase if (like me) you like to complete the set of Marvel films, but just don't expect too much.

I saw this movie after Avengers Assemble, and I'm just wondering if AA has now set the bar too high...and now films to the standard of this one (which, a year ago I might have thought pretty good) just can't compete anymore...
