ARE THEY TRYING TO COPY ANOTHER FRANCHISE

| | See all centurion's reviews (54)

I went the cinema to watch the 1st film and liked it but have watched the others films on blu-ray. Why blu-ray and not the cinema cause this franchise reminds me of another franchise but were this has vampires and werewolves they have zombies. Now the film, i liked it very good action scenes and the 3D conversion is very good a bit blurry in bits when it gets a action scene that moves fast but its a good popcorn movie.

  what a let down

| | See all lainey87's reviews (1)

i waited for this film for ages. i loved the other 3 films. this film reminded me of what they did to gears of war 3. they hyped it up so much to make loads of money. but then when it came out the game was no longer gears! well its the same with this film...

its so bad, it is not underworld and should of never been made. it felt like a resident evil film. i love resident evil films. but if i wanna watch one of those i will. i dont want another film trying to copy it. it did not work

there should never of been any humans in underworld.

my advice, spend your money on a can of paint and paint the wall and watch it dry. trust me. it will be better than watching this film!

Great action! Really good surround sound !story runs nicely !Great filming and affects! Not to brainstorming but a good underworld movie! a must buy on blue ray! if only for the sound in this film! 3d not up to that much like many films! but it comes on the same disc as an option!

  Absolutely terrible!

Where to begin...Well I have firstly seen all the previous Underworld movies and thought they were all superb...Except this one.

Watched this on my Samsung UE46ES8000 in 3D things started off like the previous Underworld movies, dark and gritty with some story and then it went downhill...When I thought things were about to finally get interesting and pick up the movie finished, the last time I was truely shocked at the way something ended was when I played Halo 2 but yeah I was completely shocked and very upset.

Overall in 3D there aren't many pop out feels nor is there much of depth. I am using the latest top of the line Samsung 3D TV in a dark room and with all custom settings and there isn't much of anything exciting in 3D with this film only a couple times when things are thrown or things blow up just a tad bit of a feeling its coming out at you but just misses the mark.

I am very dissapointed with this movie and will be selling it although I will feel sorry for the person looking to buy this from me as its a truely terrible film. It clearly opens up for a 5th movie which I feel is just going to be even worse.
A fourth movie wasnt required in this series in the same way a Terminator 3 wasn't needed, what a way to ruin a great run of films.

  NOT TO MY LYCAN!

| | See all SECTION8's reviews (1331)

I just watched the flashy extended trailer to Underworld Awakening.
Then it abrubtly ended and credits started to roll and realised I had actually watched the film! Honest it's that short and is more like watching a video game with a end of level guadian giant werewolf. The most memorable thing in this blink and you'll miss it addition is the lead vilian looks like Chris Martin from Coldplay!
It's a un-needed frustrating entry to this pretty good series, that adds nothing new and sends the series in a un-needed direction.
See if you like........
Aron Flux.
Matrix Reloaded.
Matrix Revolutions.
Resident Evil.
American Wereolf In Paris.
Blade Trinity.

  'ELECTRIC'

here we go again, the fourth in the series gives us an exciting, action packed and visually stunning thrill ride, along with the stunning 'kate beckinsale' ( say no more )
'selene' has been frozen in time for many years, and now...escapes her capture's, she finds she has a daughter 'eve' who is of course of 'vampire' and lycan blood' ........a hybrid who's powers are yet to be realized.
'selene' has to protect her child from the 'lycans' war between the two breeds is about to re-emerge, the humans want to eradicate both.
this is a fast moving and enjoyable watch.......not to be missed especially if you've followed the series.

  Underworld or Resident Evil: Awakening?!?

| | See all Frankyle's reviews (21)

Not sure how to begin, maybe coz I still havent entirely made up my mind about this film since its nothing like the previous ones in the franchise. For some reason I thought I was watching Resident Evil, dont get me wrong I am a fan of the Resident Evil movies but yes, they ARE cheesy come on! I was not expecting cheese when watching an Underworld movie and the gimmicky 3D effects only added to this and then the ending too, how much more Resident Evil can you get?!? ...Yes, its entertaining and really not THAT bad after all but the fact that it didnt feel like any of its predecessors and Scott Speedman has been replaced in the role of Michael are the main reasons for the lower rating
