 Epic filmage ...

I guess sometimes you need a saturday afternoon movie and if you're looking for something epic then you could try this...

Set in a time where England is dictating Scotland, where the Scottish lords will do anything to gain land ownership or titles by forming alliances with English nobles and King nicknamed by the Scottish as 'Long Shanks' . All of Scotland is put into struggle for survival and for independance as the English Lords take what they want even the Scottish woman on there wedding nights forcing a certain rebellion as the Scots unite and fight back. Under the leadership of William Wallace (Mel Gibson) who fights for love and honour Scotland starts to take control and a war ensues between the English army and Wallace's Army of battle starved Scotsman.

A great dipiction of what war may have been like in a very brutal time, with lots of violence and death, but a story also of struggle and love that has everyone on Wallace's side from the early stages as you follow his path to changing Scotlands history. Superbly filmed, acted, directed and told although if you have ever seen the 'Real Braveheart' documentary its not completely historically accurate as it was another Scotsman who died in battle who commanded the battles against the English and Wallace had to take over. Nonetheless Im not one for complaining about that since either way the ultimate goal was the same and Scotland still united behind this man for what was right and what they believed in.

All in all a really great movie that will have you glued to youre T.V throughout. And some of the best heartfelt battle sequences of any film to date.

The steelbooks look great and have much nicer artwork then the standard bluray, limited to 4,000 and at great value for 9.99 may also be cheaper so that is reason enough to buy. Thank you PLAY.COM for another U.K exclusive

 Great steelbook sloppy film

First and foremost I must say I bought this steelbook for its slick look and not for it's content. Though I am not going to bad mouth this film as everyone has their own opinion. If you know and love this film then it's definitely worth a buy but it's also worth a buy if your in it for the looks.

 Excellent
