Predator: Exclusive Steelbook Edition Double Play (Blu-ray)

This is one of those films that are set in stone in history forever!! Predator is a true classic sci-fi action adventure and Arnold Schwarzenegger at his peak!! This film never gets dated with its spectacular story and effects and great cast and the most thrilling alien in film ever!! This truly is the best version anyone could ever possibly own of this film, it has been digitally restored for this special blu-ray release making it look better than ever! The perfect package! A must for all fans who have been waiting for the proper version..

i think the case looks fantastic..ok so its not engraved and made of gold but for 9.99 your getting a well designed steelbook and one of arnies finest movies..when its comes to restoring a movie for bluray these people have put plenty of time and effort into the detail of this remarsted picture it looks fantasic am seeing things i never noticed before its that good..as for the 5.1dts soundtrack im hearing the jungle come alive from the wildlife that live there to the soldiers moving and the predator hunting..the fire fights will make you feel like your right there with them with all the bullits and shells comming through all the right channels..extras are good with a making of interviews with cast and crew trailers and audio commentary..
all in all this movie has stood the test of time and is already known as a classic and shows a bench mark for other movies to follow..
worthy of any movie buffs collection..

This is one of Arnold Schwarzeneggers best movies and you can see why.. it starts very rambo and action packed, showing you a kick-ass team of ex special-ops but now hired muscle or 'rescue team' as Arnold likes it. They are experienced and hard-core mentioning missions from Cambodia to Afghanistan and always get the job done. Perfectly cast and complement each other well, Schwarzenegger leads them into a deep jungle to rescue a politician thats been shot down by a rebel faction. Only for them to discover they are the second team sent in and the first was massacred and skinned alive. Things take a turn for the worse after an epic gun fight at the rebel base and taking a prisoner the action genre suddenly goes into the horror genre and brings them to an awe-inspiring unbeatable climax! In order to survive Arnold has to go old-school in the jungle to defeat a creature with all the technology on earth and beyond to beat it and walk away alive.

The blu-ray picture quality is the best ive seen (ultimate hunter edition here) clear, clean, well lit, detailed, vivid with the sound and music quality to match you would never believe this film was made in 1986! Plus there are so many extras on the Blu-ray you wouldnt know where to begin (but they are all great and worthwhile thankfully!)

This film doesnt seem to have aged whereas some movies based in cities (for comparison) can age noticably due to the landscape, skyline, vehicle's about at the time, type of clothing etc can make a movie feel dated this is all based in the jungle with army gear and references to missions to Afghanistan etc. Plus theres an Alien creature that was groundbreaking, futuristic and created by Stan Winston so its unique and stands the test of time very well. (Steelbook includes disc from Ultimate Hunter edition and DVD)

Greatly enjoyed this film at the cinema (yes - I am that old) and have purchased it on every newer/better format - but not Blu Ray - until now. Pleased I waited as the Steel Box editions always look cool and it'll help it stand out against the sometimes nasty blue plastic boxes that lesser Blu Rays come in. Its a Rock N Roll ride with some excellent effects and a decent story - the hardest of the hard come up against something far far worst. Totally recommend - turn up the volume (to 11) switch the lights off and enjoy!
