John Carter 3D (3D & 2D) (Blu-ray)

'john carter' doesn't want to coninue to fight for any cause, he's seen enough on the battle field.
however in saving a senior officer from the 'apache's' he becomes involved in a tussel with an unknown being in the cave he had fled to, winning the fight he see's a pendant in his attackers hand which appears to have lit-up, taking it, he mysteriously finds himself transported to 'barsoom' a planet he knows as 'mars'
'barsoom' is a largely baron planet but does have life, the planets army's are in a constant battle against each other.
'john carter' realizes that with his help he can save a 'warrior' princess from a marriage she does not want and help unite a planet, bringing peace.
this is an action-packed sci-fi film with much in the way of eye-popping 'cgi' which is advancing in terms of spectacular at quite a pace.
a disney treat worth watching in both or either 3D or 2D vision.

Good all round family entertainment,special effects and 3d effects were first class, as you would expect from disney .

This is an excellent sci-fi romp. Good story, battles and a sexy princess. The 3D isn't too bad either.

The folk that criticise this film for ripping off the likes of Star Wars, clearly don't realise that this came first. It's a bit like the folk that think Dracula rips off Twilight.

John Carter is certainly worth a watch if you like either sci-fi, or adventure romps.

I enjoyed the film a good storyline acting a bit for poor in places. Blu-ray quality goods sound quality good. was not impressed with the 3-D I don't know if it was filmed in 3-D or converted to 3-D

A throwback to classic sci-fi with some great effects, solid depth in the 3D and an enjoyable plot.
