As a blu-ray movie this film looks great. Although not what I would call a tester disk for the HD experience. Sure, colours are well defined. the backdrop of San Fransisco looks good - And the bright white of Will Smith's shirt and the scene where he paints is appartment are probably the best visual scenes.
The movies Dolby soundtrack though is excellent. A full range of orchestrated music sounds beautiful and really gets you into the emotion of the film, and it is in its music and its HD extra's that show off this blu-ray.
The best extra is certainly the world champion rubix cubers showing how fast they can solve the Rubix puzzle.
As a movie it is very good, well acted and a great story. Here in the UK we are safe in the 'welfare state', loose your job and benifits kick in to keep you just about OK. Not in America - No job = nothing, and this shows how the American system of your rich or poor to being destitute is well shown by Smith.
Thandie Newton though as Will Smith's beleagured girlfriend without dubt steels the acting kudos, looking pasty, worn out and 'on the edge' she shows how tough it is to live when you know your behind on rent, and well just about everything else.
Look out for Homer Simpson - Well, the actor behind the voice who plays Smith's Class leader at the sotckbroker - He is the one who asks him to move his car.
Some touching moments between father and son and also tough telling of from Dad to Son, a must for a great family movie
