Ghost Rider: Extended Cut (Blu-ray)

Without directly realising it, young Johnny sells his soul to the devil. He becomes an excellent motorbiker. And at a certain point in his life the devil comes to collect Johnny's services.
The story is done nicely, it's not to deep but enjoyable. The special effect are done great.
In short: If you like movies like Hellboy, Spiderman, The Hulk and so on, this is cenrtainly one for you !!

This film, like most modern comic adaptations, was made for Hi Def. Beautiful colours, amazing fire effects, fast paced action and a very interesting and dynamic soundtrack make it an enjoyable experience. On the downside, the story and the characters are pretty sketchy (hence the 4 stars) but then again, if we were to have proper character building, plot intricacies, great SFX and lots of action, we'd probably be looking at a four hour movie - much too long for this type of film.
The Extended Cut Blu Ray disc gives you the longest version available up to now (123 mins.) in full resolution Widescreen colour (2.40:1) and with a very crisp English soundtrack (DD 5.1 and PCM 5.1). You also get an English (5.1 !) Audio Description Track and removable subtitles (English ; English SDH ; Hindi). Finally, you get 2 English subtitled commentaries (one with writer / director Mark Steven Johnson and the visual FX supervisor Kevin Mack, the other with the producer), 3 very informative Making of featurettes and 2 trailers (Spider-rman 3, Surf's Up). All in all, a very satisfying experience and a good addition to any Blu Ray library.

Dont listen to all the people slagging off this film it really is quite good!! What people dont understand is that its a comic based film! and thats what you get. For me its almost as if the comic book has jumped off the pages and made itself into a film. I recommend this just grab some munch sit back and enjoy. Its one of the the best roles nicholas cage has done, and if your a fan then you wont be disapointed!!

I fail to understand the success for Cage in Hollywood. His 2D acting manages to spoil what could have been a good film. Cage lovers will like this no doubt, however I just don't understand how he keeps getting work with such a limited range of acting ability? A piece of wood could show more emotion!

A shame in my opinion that he was cast in this film as he was the only thing wrong with it.

I went to see it in the cinema when it was out, then when i saw it came out for blu-ray i had to have it, its a great quality film, great actors and great SFX! GREAT BUY!!
