This is an absolutly stunning blu ray and i think youll find it hard to find better visually, the films great but not fantastic, i dont see why people rate this 5 stars, 5 stars to me means perfect in everyway.. Yes the visuals are 5 star but the film itself knocks it back to 4 stars! Still highly recomended though

Since play.com ships worldwide it'd helpful to know which languages are included.
Is there a german language track included?

We saw this when it first came out but since we recently brought a blu-ray player and we have two young children(age 4 and 3)we decided to buy the blu-ray disc. Wow the difference between this and a normal dvd is amazing, the picture quality is so clear. This is a great film, my kids have watched it over and over and its one of those films that doesn't get on your nerves.
A good buy i would recomend it to all ages.

This film is just awesome for all, and once again Pixar excelled with their five star animation. The film is funny and really, really enjoyable.
Having made this on blu-ray has just put the cherry on the cake, and is must have if a Disney - Pixar fan. It really does add the finishing touches to this film, and makes the quality superb. I just keep on watching it.
I cannot wait for the other Pixar films to be released on blu-ray now, and i really hope it is sooner rather than later.
My advice: swap the dvd for blu-ray!

I'm writing this after watching "Cars" for the second time, and I have to say it is pretty bad. There were just so much wrong with it and not enough good things about it.

The characters are annoying and had no redeeming qualities - there was nothing likeable about any of them, the actors doing the voices are equally annoying and totally missed cast. The music score is terrible in every single way. The plot was far too predictable, and has already been done a thousand times over.

The only one good thing I can honestly think to say about this is that it looks amazing on Bluray. Other then that - nothing!

Watching this reminded me of when I was sick as a child and my parents would force me to drink medicine that tasted awful by practually shoving it down my throat - that's how I felt watching this. Boring, unfunny, empty and just plain bland.... And, just like the medicine, it's left a bitter taste in my mouth!

Truely, truely awful in every single way!

  Blu-Ray wins

I had the ordinary version of this and I got bored watching it, it is afterall a kids film - however everyone in the press raved about how good the pure digital transfer was on Blu-Ray. I bowed to peer pressure and got a copy from Play.com and fired up the Projector.

What a revelation, the cars come up 'super-glossy' and the colours are sensational. You are left completely in awe of the animators art and the technical skill and time that was invested in this picture. Having now watched the film all the way through the story is better than I'd hoped for.

This is an easy 'must buy' for your collection. you can thank me all later. 'Smug Stars' 5/5 for showing off to your friends , Story Stars 4/5.

Now is Finding Nemo out on Blu-Ray yet?

High Octane Animation on a really sublime Blu-ray Disc

From the Disney Pixar camp and Directed by John Lasseter Cars enters the silver screen having a lot to live up to in the shadow of A Bug's Life, Toy Story, Monster's Inc etc. Enter Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson voiceover) a pedigree racing car champion who is a little bit on the immature side and loses his way from his Transporter Truck only to find a little town once famous now run down on route 66 named Radiator Springs....it is there that Mcqueen does damage to the local property only to find himself facing Community Service under the supervision of a Hilarious pick up truck in need of some WD40 called Mator who has a catching chuckle and an infectious likeable character....The story goes on that maybe theres more to life than racing and Lightning McQueen gets all the lessons in life he needs from the friendly automobiles he comes across in Radiator Springs....there are some hilarious moments such as the Tractor Tipping that McQueen and Mator get up to in the fields at night and the great one liners from Mator who steals the show...Cars shines onto Blu-ray with absolutely the best picture quality on Blu-ray I have seen to date and that's without any exaggeration this is unbelieveable quality and should set the reference quality standard for Blu-ray as both the cars themselves and the scenery background are sublime...Sound is up there with the best too. For Great Family entertainment on the best picture and sound money can buy then this is an absolute no brainer....
