This a stunning programme, which even in standard definition is a must buy. The quality of programming is amazing and this has to be the finest Attenborough documentaries to date.

Add to this the fact that it has been filmed in 1080p (not 1080i as stated on the box) and you can really appreciate the stunning environments and the unique creatures that exist within them. This, if anything is the ideal blu ray to show to your friends what is truly capable in high def.

A must buy for all concerned!

I was blown away by this series when i first watched it on TV. Its Attenborough at his best. But you cant even begin to appreciate the filming of this until you watch it in BlueRay. BlueRay was made for this and this was made for BlueRay. This is breath taking!

You will most definitly learn something new with 'Planet Earth'

Even if you have no interest in this type of title, it's worth it just for the visuals. I've found no better way to show of your HD + BR. That aside, the documentary is so well done. It's totally captivating. It just makes you realise what a truly wonderful and fragile planet we live in. Buy it. Now!

This is a reason to buy yourself a blu ray player and a full hd screen. Spectacular picture, amazing scenery, breathtaking filming and of course David Attenborough. The man invented documentaries. Whenever I have friends over and they ask me what blu ray and high definition is, this is what I put on.

This is what HD is all about. If you want to prove to friends or family that the money spent on the tv was worth it, then this is what you need. I spent the 1st half hour watching this with my jaw hitting the floor the picture is just that good!

i bought this set and was very impressed the picture quality was excellant and also the sound throught my sorround sound system and ps3 were fantastic..it really is a pleasure too watch some places around the would in pure hd quality..ive got no complaints..

I am a big fan of David Attenborough and nature films in general. The photography and series was great when it was broadcast on BBC, so had to purchase when it came out. This Blu Ray edition however seems to take it up another level, the detail on some of the shots are just amazing, especially when the camera pans out on thousands of animals or birds, you can see each one. This is certainly the disc I always use now when showing off my HD system to friends, and can watch it over and over again.

This is a must have for Blu-ray .. HDMI and its astonishing!

An absolute must for the wildlife fanatic. Amazing HD footage along with some awe-inspiring sights from around the world. There are places here on earth I didn't know existed and the high def Blu-Ray is just stunning. Just 1 fault with Blu-Ray box set...it doesn't include any extras (Planet Earth Diaries) showing you the making of each episode unlike the standard Plantet Earth DVD Box Set where you get it all, but all the same, well worth the money. Attenborough Rocks.
