Another event from wwe and unfortunately not one of their best,but it's got some good moments.
The show literally starts of with a battle royal to decide on who challenges for the i.c. or u.s. title (the winner's choice). It's good enough for what it is,but i found it a bit odd that the show started just as this match got going.
KOFI KINGSTON and R-TRUTH vs DOLPH ZIGGLER and JACK SWAGGER in good tag match for the titles,some nice moments.
BETH PHOENIX takes on LAYLA for the diva's title,it's nothing great,but at least they can both wrestle,so it's alright.
SHEAMUS defends his world title in a 4 way against RANDY ORTON,CHRIS JERICHO and ALBERTO DEL RIO. It's a bit slow in places,but the good moments are very good,all in all a good match.
BRODUS CLAY vs MIZ,it doesn't last long,but it's a few minutes of fun.
The winner of the battle royal takes on CODY RHODES for his i.c. title,an impressive short match,showing off 2 great talents.
Next up is the best match of the night by far,C.M. PUNK vs DANIAL BRYAN for PUNK's wwe title,brilliantly wrestled by 2 of the best in the sport,loads of great spots,nice time for the match,loved it.
RYBACK vs CAMACHO,RYBACK does what he does and asks to be fed more,it's a filler match.
Oh dear,the main event. Not only is it bad enough that CENA gets another non-title main event spot,but this match is a joke,i just don't get it.
This match of JOHN CENA vs JOHN LAURINAITIS (with JL'S job on the line) is not really a wrestling match,it should've been midcard or on raw,but because of the storyline surrounding it,it gets main event status,shame.
In all fairness,it has some amusing moments,with CENA humiliating LAURINAITIS,although LAURINAITIS does get the upperhand for a minute of 2,but it goes on for way too long considering it's so daft and a waste of CENA's talent. The match takes the storyline where it has to go,with the big ending,but i still say,this should never have been main event and for me,it taints the event as a whole,what were they thinking?
For those getting this on blu-ray,there's the raw and smackdown highlights including BIG SHOW being fired and C.M. PUNK vs KANE. Plus there's the nice picture quality.
