2012....'GB' has had a whole lot to be proud, of and of course enjoy, despite the economic gloom the crowds turned out in their millions to watch and be a part of events such as 'the queens' 60th anniversary celebrations and of course 'the olympic games'
our athletes in both events outstriped everyone's expectations, including mo's double gold and yes 'andy murray' winning at wimbledon, just to pin point a couple of our many memories.
also it would be fair to say nobody really expected the 'UK' to equall the splendour of the 'beijing' opening and closing ceremonies, however most feel we topped it.
who will forget things like the queen's sporting gesture in taking part in the 'bond' sequence............great stuff and so much more.
( wish the BBC had covered both events )
with highlights of all our favourite moments from the games and the ceremonies, this 5-disc set is truly a superb keepsake.
