Was recommended by a film. I'm glad I listened and watched this, I found it a very screwed up film because of the films you watched within the film. But it was really enjoyable. Something different, something worth watching.

All the stories are good in one way or another and don't stick around long enough for you to get bored. If you're after something different and can get into the feeling of a found tape footage I think it really works! Roll on S-V/H/S!!

I had very high expectations for this one as I read the reviews and viewed the trailers only to be subjected to nearly 2 hours of very low budget shoddy below standard american teen horror garbage, I was expecting things to happen suddenly that would make me jump like with Paranormal Activity but instead when it got down to the main part of each story where you should be gripping the cusions or hiding yours eyes I found myself laughing at how poor it was or looking over to my partner and both of us frowning at how lame the film we were currently watching was, in my opinion this is the worst so called reality horror that I have ever seen with little entertainment value to it and fully expect it to end up in movie bargain buckets in every store that sells it, dont waste your money.

Read plenty of reviews on IMDB before purchasing this. It's terrible. Don't believe the hype, I don't usually write reviews but I felt I had to after watching this abomination. Feel really gutted about paying money for this!

"..ONE OF THE SMARTEST HORRORS OF THE PAST YEAR.."

This may look like your ordinary weekly cheap horror release as there are so many of them but V/H/S is actually a very good, clever movie and one of the years best, its directed by several known people from the genre including Ti West (the innkeepers, house of the devil)who is very good at what he does, the movie is a found footage film which will probably put people off but please give it a chance!!, the entire movie is made up of footage from peoples cameras who all fall foul to some kind of bizarre event that leads to their death, its allot more original than your average movie of this kind and does incorporate some brilliant effects and some quite hardcore violence at times, it gives off a very scary vibe too at times with each segment being very unique, this is a film not to be missed by horror fans, the movie also runs at just under 2hrs too which is pretty good for this type of movie. Make sure you check it out.

This is the best horror anthology I have seen in years. It was produced by the horror website 'Bloody Disgusting' and features a collection of 'found video tapes' directed by some of the best and up-coming horror directors around. The collection is book-ended with the best stories, the first is truly shocking, focusing on some lads equipt with a pair of camera glasses, the intention being to record a sexual encounter... They get more than they bargained for! The next 3 stories are shocking, disturbing, graphic and equally enjoyable in their own right, but the final story is amazing! a poltergeist type event that has to be seen to be believed, turn up the volume for this one. My only criticism is the story that links the 5 tapes together, very weak, but an attempt try something different. Good news too, is that a second anthology is being produced with more hot directors... S-V/H/S
