Nothing to do with the original Django but still it's enjoyable, with Tarentino's usual mix of comedy and gore and some great characters Django is bought out of slavery and sets out to find the love of his life who was taken away and also sold into slavery

This Mordern Spaghetti Western, this is a flick set in the end of the american civil war in the heart of the south, Great cast and great movie overall i really enjoyed every second of this film. Tarantino is one of the biggest film creators of our time and he really shows this with the Django film. This is how good films should be.

  tarantino does it again

jamie fox and christopher waltz excel in there roles watch out for original django franco neros cameo. tarantino handles the subject of slavery with his usual no holds barred style and his ott violence decaprio and jackson are excellent supporting characters

Tarantino returns all guns blazing with Django, the story of a slave on a quest to find his wife, but on his journey will not be simple, and he certainly won't keep his hands clean. It's your typical Tarantino movie, it has the cool lines, the qitty humour, and packs a punch whenever the action gets heated. Leonardo DiCaprio steals the show, although his part is smaller than some of the other cast members, his performance leaves a lasting impression, his portrayal of the psychotic plant owner who won't lose. Django is an entertaining movie, not Tarantino's best but still better than a lot of movies out there.

There's a lot that's good about the film but some scenes just go on forever, it also felt like the film finished about 30 mins after it could've done. It's good but it's no Inglorious Basterds

Firstly don't expect this to be a realistic portraiyl of the frontier days. This film is not supposed to be. But if you are a fan of Tarrantino you'll know what to expect, after all he's the guy who re-wrote history and killed Hitler in his previous Inglorious Basterds. Django is one of the most enjoyable films of last year, it's so over the top, so full of smart and funny dialogue and crazy situations and characters it's impossible not to be swept along with it all. Foxx is the first word in cool, DiCaprio is just plain nasty, Jackson is even worse with his motivations. But just like Inglorious Basterds it's Christoph Walz who steals every scene with his precise punctuation. The film is long and maybe a little too long, but with so many brilliant characters it never outstays it's welcome. If you are offened by the "N" word this may not be for you, but it's said in such a manner it's not intended to offend. It's comic book violence spills more blood than the Wildbunch, the soundtrack is awesome and Django is possibly Tarrantino's most enjoyable film to date.
