For a 4 match event, you expect to have quality over quantity, thankfully, that's what this offers.
It starts off with a great match between BIG SHOW and ALBERTO DEL RIO,in a last man standing match for the heavyweight title. I'm not too keen on DEL RIO'S charcter, but he's starting to win fans and this match gains more. With BIG SHOW playing the bad guy well and giving another impressive performance, this is a solid enough match, with the set coming into use in exciting fashion. In all honesty i found the end a little disappointing and lazy, but most fans loved it so fair enough.
Next is TEAM HELL NO vs TEAM RHODES SCHOLARS,it's a great tag title match, nothing special maybe, but still impressive enough to entertain.
The royal rumble next and it is a great one,the usual surpise appearances and some great highlights. KOFI's moment may not be quite as spectacular as last year's handwalk but it's still great fun, though i thought somewhat tainted by what happens directly after. The BRYAN/KANE moment keeps you guessing at their future aswell, quite amusing. It's got a great last several minutes, leaving you wondering just who will walk away with the victory and head to main event WRESTLEMANIA.
The main event now as C.M. PUNK takes on THE ROCK for the wwe title, with the stipulation that if THE SHIELD are seen at ringside,PUNK is stripped of his title. It's a solid closer to the evening, leaving fans pumped up with what they've just witnessed. ROCK shows he's still got it and PUNK is always impressive, there's several highlights and an end that looks set to taint a great match, but stick with it,top stuff.
One of the better ROYAL RUMBLE events then,4 matches of quality and quite a few moments to make you want to watch it all over again.
