As the film is over 50 years old, I guess we have to make some allowances for the state of the original celluloid. The transfer to Blu-ray is mixed. Bits are pretty good, bits an indifferent and bits are quite poor. But there is detail there that I'd not seen before.As for the film, it's still one of the greats.
