Bullet To The Head didn't get very good reviews when it hit cinemas six months ago, but I loved this corny homage to 80's buddy action films.

Sylvester Stallone plays a hitman who is forced to team up with a detective to avenge the murders of their partners and find out who set them up. Hot on their tail is a relentless mercenary (Jason Momoa).

It won't win any awards but on a Friday night with a few beers, you could do a lot worse than this enjoyable and entertaining guilty pleasure!

It's as subtle as it sounds.

The first film for Walter Hill since 2002 Undisputed shoud have been the return to form we all wished for. As it stands Bullet To The Head is a by the numbers thriller as Stallone is a Hitman taking down the bad guys in a corruption plot. There's nothing we have not seen a million times before and it's clear it's riding the wave of The Expendables oldschool action mechanics. Stallone looks awesome of someone who now can have a buspass. The violence is brutal and the climax Axe battle is worth the wait. It's just a pitty it's so forgettable and predictable.

Firstly, Stallone looks awesome....for being almost 70! Secondly this is an 80s action movie made 25 years too late. It's not awful just all a little old and tired. Still, I have to admit that even though sly, arnie, Bruce, seagal, and all the other guilty parties are way past it- I will still watch every film they make!
