Charlie (Woody Harrelson) is the psychotic gangster who has just had his beloved dog stolen by Marty's oddball friends (Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken). Unpredictable and extremely violent, Charlie is prepared to kill anyone associated with the theft, giving Marty all the focus and inspiration he needs to finish his script. Just as long as he lives to tell the tale.

I expected a bloodfest, a movie which was filled with two hours of sick and twisted dark humour. However, what I saw was something different, a movie which took dark humour and mixed it with a little bit of psychology, the end result is something which shocks and awakens! The story is simple to follow, it has a kind of cartoony comic book feel to it, this is where the comedy comes in. But deep down there's a story which makes you look deep inside yourself, makes you search inside and understand the true psychopathic nature of a human. It's packed with a lot of laughs, the majority being very dark! This movie was something new for Hollywood, something you don't normally see from the big bucks production companies. I highly recommend this movie, MUST SEE!!!!
