A rooftop sniper (Andy Robinson) calling himself Scorpio has killed twice and holds the city ransom with the threat of killing again. Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood) is a tough, streetwise San Francisco cop whom they call Dirty Harry, will nail him one way or the other, no matter what the 'system' prescribes.
Filming on location, director Don Siegel made the City by the Bay a vital part of Dirty Harry, a practice continued in its four sequels. The original remains one of the most gripping police thrillers ever made.

It is pretty damn good too, picture is good for a film of its age has some good features on it and clint taking down scum what more could you ask for. A classic film has been updated for the next gen. Get It.

An important film at the time of release that still stands up well today. This Blu-ray version is excellent. Maybe not quite up to the standard of a new film, but it's 37 years old now.
Colours are bright and stable, skin tones are good, and the picture is sharp and detailed. The sound is good for a film from 1971; it won't rock your house, but it is more than adequate. The film has never looked this good before away from the cinema screen. Well worth the purchase, considering you get more in the package than just the disc. It is presented in the so-called coffee-book style, having a very informative booklet incorporated into the Blu-ray case.
This is a must-have disc.
