Walk Hard is a decent comedy film which spoofs many of the musical biopics we have seen recently at cinema. Whereas most, unfunny, spoofs (Meet The Spartans) fail to deliver laughs, Walk Hard makes up for it with its Anchorman style nonsense and bizareness. It will proabley be one of the less known Apatow produced films simply because not many people know of John C. Reiley as a lead comedy actor and the fact that it doesn't look appealling enough. But Walk Hard has a very likable lead in Reily who proves that he's just as good as comedy as Will Ferrell. It's kinda unique and original that they've gone with someone outside the basic Apatow clan to lead - this could have very easily been a daft Will Ferrell comedy mind you.

Throw in well produced and catchy songs (Walk Hard, Let Me Hold You Little Man, etc), some silly cameos and it's a fun watch. Even if you remotley liked Anchorman and other films from the Apatow clan, it is certainly worth watching.

And for all those who go with Blu-Ray for Walk Hard - there is an extended cut of the film adding a full 30 additional minutes to the film giving it a little bit more of a long hard walk. You can find it in the special features and since this isn't available on the standard dvd, this is a must purchase for Blu-Ray owners if they want this film.

Recommended.

Having seen this film i'd highly recommend it. Reilly is a class act. Jenna Fischer is great (as well as gorgeous). Some of the lyrics in the songs performed are pure genius. It's intelligent daft humour all along, if there were ever such a thing.
