Review

The Bank Job is a highly-charged heist thriller based upon the infamous 1971 robbery that took place at the Lloyds Bank in Marylebone London.

Starring Jason Stantham as Terry, a car dealer with a dodgy past and Saffron Burrows as Martine, the woman with the plan, The Bank Job interweaves corruption, murder and scandel with 1970's England!

When Martine offers Terry a lead on a foolproof bank hit on London's Baker Street, he recognizes the opportunity of a lifetime! The plan: to target a roomful of safe deposit boxes worth millions in cash and jewelry. However Terry and his crew don't realize the boxes also contain a treasure trove of dirty secrets - secrets that will thrust them into a deadly web of corruption and illicit scandal that spans London's criminal underworld, the highest echelons of the British government, and the Royal Family itself...

Really enjoyed the movie, brings u back to the lock stock/snatch days, when both where so fresh and hot off the press,
Solid acting from all concerned with a true English cast, you will be pointing out the familiar faces that pop up in the film.

The only thing i think this movie missed was the inclusion of Danny Dyer, Instead the director has drafted in Daniel Mays, who plays Dave Shilling, Dont get me wrong he was a good actor and funny, but i couldnt help but think that this was someone trying to fill danny dyers shoes.

In terms of Blu Ray, excellent picture and sound, i definatly recommend this as a keeper. 10/10

Hope this review helps

Top 10 DVD Reviewer

This movie is well written, action packed with a bit of light hearted comedy to keep it from getting too heavy. This movie carries on with the tradition of Lock Stock, and a welcome return after the last few attempts. A couple of dodgy accents, but that's a very small issue. The film is in 2 parts, the first the robbery then as soon as that's done, then the action really kicks in. This film was digitally shot, and that makes it excellend on HD with supern picture and sound.
