This is a fantastic movie with a cool story and great special effects. The only problem is the shaky camera, but that doesn't ruin the movie at all!

If you are into cinema then this is a must

Shot in the first person using a handicam (one that has great video quality, an amazing set of mic's, surround mixing desk, smooth compressors & EQ and post-production suite all built in) it may not be for everyone. However, if you can settle into the visual style then the film moves along as if the events were really unfolding in front of you; though doesn't necessarily follow the traditional film structure. There will be those who understand this film and those that don't.

I like it.... a lot.

 good idea

Was a good idea this film but such a shame it wasnt pulled off, dont get me wrong this is a good film but with the whole handed camera filming was a bit to much and really took away alot of the action through them running away and not being able to see what was going on. I give it 3 stars for the whole experience

watched. slept and the movie was over

You see a handheld perspective that destroys the movie. I understand that it is the movies "uniqeness", but it really doesnt make a movie. The film is boring.

Superb! Needs to be given the chance.

A visually stunning film, was the first true blockbuster film that used the handy-cam technique (and to great success), has an intriging plot, great acting from unknown actors/actresses and amazing CGI, the most real looking and diffferent looking monster in any film I've ever seen!
Ends not needing a sequel but open to one. Given stick due to the background of the monster and much of the plot not being revealed, however this adds to suspense and mystery of it. Fantastic on blu-ray. For fans of The Blair Witch Project and Lost.

 Good film !! totally immersive......

im not really in to this sort of film, but after watching it i must admit, it was GOOD !!, the way the movie was shot was totally immersing, you felt like you were part of it...at the beginning it felt strange, then BOOM !! whats happening here, takes a bit of getting used to, due to the majority of the film was shot with a camcorder, ( or at least it looks like it ), watched it 4 times now, very good, but slightly weird !!

 DO NOT ADJUST YOUR TV!!!

Once you grow accustomed to the handheld video cam - this movie sucks you in...this is how it must have felt during 9/11...the CGIs are amazing on bluray with lots of detail & inky blacks...The suspense builds & builds & builds with awesome DolbyTrueHD lossless audio booming through every speaker....No, your bluray player isn't acting up, this is how its meant to look & it works. Don't listen to negative reviews - just immerse yourself in the story & suspend belief. The ending is a surprise too! Highly recommended!

Fantastic film, great idea. Survival horror at its best!!
Dont watch this film looking for any kind of deep meanings, have some imagination, put yourself in the characters shoes and take it for what every film should be: Excellent escapism and entertaining!!!

The only reason I don't give this film five stars is simply because it isn't in my 'Top 10 All-Time Greatest Movies'...
I like the suspense of this movie. You don't know yourself what the hell is going on, you haven't a clue what this thing is or where the hell it came from. The way it is shot is just brilliant, it just teases you at first because you never really get a good look at this thing simply because you are viewing this movie through the eyes of the hand held camera. Don't worry though, it isn't half as bad as Blair Witch, that movie made me motion sick.
Anyway, if you like your disaster movies then this is a must buy...
