I watched this not so long ago and really enjoyed it. The fight scenes are very good as well as the emotions played in this film. So i had to buy it, so i can enjoy it again and again now :) Thank you Play.com!

  Not a good transfer

The picture and sound quality are not good. It seems like they just have put it through a copy machine and printed it out on blueray. And as mention before by others, the aspect ratio is wrong.
Unless you have to have this on blue ray for some reason, there are no other good reason to buy this on this format. Save the money and buy it on dvd. The film it self are really cool to watch even though its a some what copy of The Matrix.

Saw it in the cinema years ago now it seems - destined to be a cult favourite down the years. The Blu Ray release i thought definatley worth the upgrade from dvd - only 1 flaw though - the sound seems a bit quite on my system i have to turn the volume up to around 30 something so it sounds good through the surround - there are a few blu ray releases out there with this problem though 8/10 just crank it up!!!

  Worth the while

It's in the worth watching category, It's an action movie and if you like matrix, wanted, or any other movie with a little "exaggerated " martial arts, then you will probably like this one too.

  Calling all action fans...

A future world with a facist dictatorship where feelings are illegal, an order of militnat clerics with specialist weapons training and lots of guns and a small group of rebels.
Ok you can make comparisons to various other films but this does stand up in its own right, and is very entertaining if your an action fan.
Easy viewing, possibly on a sunday after a night down the pub.

  great picture poor story

Bought this on offer as reviews were good. I have to say it looked and sounded great on BluRay but the story????? Could have written , sorry copied it from countless other films on the back of a postcard in 10 minutes. And the fight scenes? well they had the whole family laughing.

Having seen the blu-ray version i thought the fast moving scenes were blurry on a 60hz 1080p tv, just watched it on a 100hz 1080p, awesome, a must have blu-ray film if you like action sci-fi like matrix, riddick etc. people have in the past commented on why it was not as hyped as matrix trilogy was, who knows.Especially when you consider Matrix was so cgi intensive and Equilibrium uses little or no cgi characters. Get this one 5 stars for film and quality.
