Based on the bestselling children's fantasy novels by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi, The Spiderwick Chronicles follows the adventures of the Grace family, newly moved from New York City to a remote home in the woods in New England.
A great fast paced family film with plenty of special effects. Alas at times it is little too scary, so make sure that the sensitive ones in your family are tucked up in bed before you play the DVD, or they may end up screaming out of the room and costing you many hundreds of times the cost of the DVD in corrective psychotherapy. Harry Potter it isn't, but it certainly is not one to miss. A great film for all the family.

I started watching this film knowing nothing about it and to be honest I didnt expect much...How wrong I was, this film is brilliant!!!...I thorougly enjoyed every minute,your kids will love it!!!.

Did not know what to expect from this film and was pleasantly suprised. The film moves at a good pace, has humour, interesting characters and well worth a watch. The Blu-ray quality is very good, and the animation is top quality. A great film for all ages, make sure you check it out.

When the Grace family move into their Great Aunts old country house a world of brownies, goblins, hobgoblins & the evil ogre Malgarath await when young Jared (brillantly played by Freddie Highmore) discovers Arthur Spiderwicks Field Guide to the Fantastical World Around You.

There's been a plethora of quality fantasy films in recent years & this one can hold it's own amungst the best. Great entertainment for both adult & child.
The Blu Ray release looks & sounds great (as you'd expect). The US disc is already out & region free, so grab a copy if you can't wait for the UK release
