The very first of James Bond's adventures, featuring a young Sean Connery stepping into the role of Britain's super-suave secret agent.
Bond's mission takes him to the steamy island of Jamaica, where mysterious energy waves are interfering with U.S. missile launches. As he unravels the astonishing truth, Bond must fight deadly assassins, sexy femme's fatales and even a poisonous tarantula. With the help of crack CIA agents Felix Lieter (Jack Lord) and the beautiful Honey Ryder (Ursula Andress), he searches for the headquarters of Dr. No, who is implementing an evil plan of world domination.
Only Bond, with his combination of wit, charm and skill, can confront the madman and save the human race from a horrible fate. With breathtaking chases, amazing stunts and a bold, nerve-shattering climax, this outrageously entertaining adventure pushes the envelope for non-stop thrills and magnificently sets the standard for the most popular movie series in film history.

The first bond was made in 1962 Dr No. That movie alone gets its fair share of air play on the TV to this very day... I wonder; will we still be watching bourne in 46 years from now? I don't think so... bourne is fun, good entertainment. Bond is well proven and is here to stay, long live bond... he has no substitutes.
Worth Every Penny!!

I've been a Bond fan for 24yrs, I'm not going to review the film, it's a classic. I've owned it on VHS, DVD and i've seen it countless times on TV. Being as this film is 47yrs old the picture quality is outstanding, i was somewhat sceptical as i've read many a review on blu-rays made throughout 70's - 80's - 90's were people have made excuse for the poor quality Blu-ray transfer because of the films age. Having seen this, it raises and sets the standard of what should be expected of Blu-ray, regardless of the age of the film.
What a great transfer they have done to Blu-Ray

Well i am a avid James Bond fan of the movies and especially the early ones. I own Dr No on DVD and i must say that after watching the Blu-Ray version, I am blown away at what they have done with something that was made in 1963 compared to modern movies.
Dr No is a worthy addition to any Blu-Ray movie collection, HOWEVER the sound is reworked from Mono into DTS-HD and i must say they have done a great job. All the colours are so vibrant and in your face for detail.
This is worthy of your money as you wont regret it if you love Bond Movies.
