This is one of my all time favourite films which i first saw in the cinema way back in 1979. I have owned a copy of The Warriors on video tape, dvd, and now blu ray. Must have watched this film more than 20+ times over the years, and it still entertains me as much today as it did 30 years ago. Thirty years ago ! I must be getting very old. You Warriors are good, real good.
What a pleasure to meet again all these NY gangs ! The Warriors, the Furies, the Riff,... The long and dangerous road to return to Coney Island...
This film is a cult-classic, a must-see, and image never look so perfect than on this Blu-Ray !
absolutely tremendous transfer, this is one of my favourtie films from the early years of my childhood and at firdst i thoght blue ray cannot be that good, but yes it is, perfect picture and sound look slike a film made last year or present day, if your thinking that cant be true, buy it and if your disappointed il give you yor money back lol !!!!!!

The Warriors is a fun, but dated romp through the mean streets of New York. It becomes obvious by watching, that the director admits he never intended to make a realistic film-the whole thing is structured like a videogame as our heroes fight their way through the different "levels" of the hostile city neighbourhoods. Despite it`s rating, what violence is on show is pretty wimpish & cartoonish by modern standards mainly because "The Warriors" are constantly running away. Even so, it`s fast paced & boasts an amazingly sharp image with virtually zero grain on display. All of the extras from the recent DVD release are included in a good package, although the audio is a bit limp wristed in places. If you ignore the ridiculous clothes, cringeworthy dialogue & the straight faced insanity of it all, The Warriors is a bona fide cheesy classic. It`s super fast, no questions asked Saturday Night with a beer in the hand entertainment. Good stuff.
Walter Hill's classic is given a new lease of life on Blu-ray. The remastering work on this 1080p transfer is near faultless, and is up there with the best picture quality Blu-rays such as Zulu and The Thing.
It's always good to see old classics restored with such attention to detail, and not merely a direct upscaled 1080p transfer without cleaning up the original master.
T2 and Escape From New York please take note!
