A thrill-a-minute adventure film produced by Steven Spielberg!

When brothers Mikey and Brand learn that greedy developers are forcing their family to move, they and their friends decide to have one last, precious adventure together. With the help of a treasure map they've found in the attic, the group, known as the Goonies, go in search of buried gold hoping against hope that if they find it, Mikey and Brand will succeed in keeping their home...

 The Blu-nies

You all know the film, so I'll just review the disc. The Blu-ray contains all the extra features found on the DVD (sadly, nothing extra) and picture quality is stunning. Definitely worth upgrading from DVD to Blu-ray. I noticed things in the background I had never noticed before, so the experience of watching this classic film on Blu-ray is like watching it for the first time again! Recommended.

Great movie but information conserning the subtitles is faulty. This disc DOESN'T contain any of mentioned subs excluding english.

 Better than it ever was!

A childhood fave of mine, this film is great fun for all ages. The blu-ray transfer is very sharp and along with the superb TrueHD soundtrack, brings certain scenes (especially the underground scenes), to new levels of excitement and atmosphere.

A very worthy purchase for what is a cheap blu-ray.

My childhood memories in a little blue box!

This is one of the most exciting and funniest teen movies I recall watching over and over again in the 80s. Most of my school friends thought that home video VHS was created for this film. I think many of us wore out the video heads playing this film. Here it is again, but this time in its full HD glory, I just know that this will keep me entertained on a rainy Sunday afternoon this winter and for years to come. This is a true family action adventure film that all ages will adore. You have to introduce your kids to the Goonies magic!

 hmmm think about it!!!

The goonies is one of my all time fave kids films, loved it back in 85 love it now, but if you already have the dvd i wouldnt bother with the blu ray, true, the sound is better but not that you'd have to buy the blu ray for that reason, no extra features compared to the dvd version and as for picture quality, yes its as sharp as it'll ever be, the problem is the master film wasn't that sharp in the first place so the blu ray picture is as good as it gets which sadly is as good as the dvd. Worthy buy if you dont have the dvd, if you do, save your cash!
