 a CLASSIC Vampire tale.

firstly, the blu-ray (quality etc.) is not amazing, but the film is a Vampire tale at its best. With vampire story's big in curculation due to trueblood and twilight, this is a film (based on an amazing book) that has more maturity and 'realism' than what's been delievered in recent years to audience. Great film, blu-ray so-so.

 Awesome Vampire Flick

Now this is what you call a REAL vampire movie.
I have seen Twilight and New Moon and they are good fun, but this is the Real Deal.
The film almost plays out like a Real Life Story, it is very believable.
It makes the whole Vampire Lifestyle very appealing. Lol
The story captivates from beginning to end and the direction is Top Notch as is the Soundtrack.
On the Acting front firstly you have to acknowledge the Amazing Cast
And from this cast Tom Cruise takes Top honours with his Dastardly Bad Guy turn, which he really seemed to enjoy playing.
Brad Pitt comes a close second in what seemed quite a difficult role. Kirsten Dunst is Amazing in one of here earlier performances.
Antonio Banderas adds a certain Class to proceedings and Christian Slater is good in a small but important role

Picture 3 / 5
Sound 2 / 5

A true classic not upgraded in any sense sound is really poor and i have a high spec system.hardly any of the colors jump off the screen at you.this is a 5 star movie with a fresh look at vampires with a poor transfer please please stop ruining these classics

As said by other reviewers this is an all time classic vampire film. But why is there no audio commentary track as on my standard DVD copy ? Short change again from bluray.

This film is magnificent in every way, One of my favorite films. The Blu Ray version is not as good as I expected with grain etc. You may well save money by buying a cheaper version and playing it on an upscalling dvd if you already have one. If you have never seen this film rent it buy it. You will not be dissapointed.

 The best film ever made!

Quite simply, the best vampire film ever! You actually feel like you are getting a glimpse of something not seen by humans. Mostly true to the book, superbly acted. A young Kirsten Dunst gives an amazing performance as Claudia. Tom Cruise, Brad pitt and Antonio Banderas are also excellent as the main vampires of the story. I saw this film back in 1994 and it is still my best film ever. Can't wait for the blu ray version!!
