Courage now, truth always...

Riddle me this; riddle me that, you'll find adventure on the wings of a bat! Brace for excitement as Val Kilmer (Batman), Tommy Lee Jones (Two-Face), Jim Carrey (The Riddler), Nicole Kidman (Dr. Chase Meridian) and Chris O'Donnell (Robin) star in the third spectacular film in the Warner Bros. Batman series.

Joel Schumacher directs and Tim Burton co-produces this thrill-ride of a movie that thunders along on Batmobile, Batwing, Batboat, Batsub and bold heroics. Hang on!

This movie is not made in the same visionary gothic detail of the Tim Burton classics but still does have some distinctive, loud and crazy qualities to it. The cast is pretty awesome and very eccentric especially Jim Carrey who is pretty perfect as the Riddler. The Batmobile in this movie is awesome (one of my favourites) The biggest let down for me was introducing the rubbish Robin character, but there are some pretty cool things going on in this movie so you can overlook the mistakes they made. Still quality comic book fun. A must have for true fans even if it's for the brilliant special features on these 2-disc versions and awesome picture quality compared to DVD.

 Decent enough

I actually prefer this over Batman Returns. Though it's not perfect, it certainly does entertain, it has some bizarre moments, as well as being packed with very exciting action scenes.

The film is not short of weaknesses though, Two Face is too over the top, The Riddler can annoy at times, and if it wasn't for the whining, Robin would have been perfect. Val Kilmer is decent as Batman, but he's no Michael Keaton.

Decent film, great extras, including many deleted scenes.

A strage one this. The good news is this is better than the awful Batman & Robin. The bad news is it's no where near as good as Batman,Batman Returns, Batman Begins or the Dark Knight. Val Kilmer seems to be the Pouting Batman & is no where near as good as Keaton. Chris O Donell is ok as Robin (although can be annoying at times). Nicole Kidman looks sexy as Chase Meridian. Tommy Lee Jones looks & acts insane as Harvey Two Face (although Aaron Eckhart does it better in the Dark Knight). Jim Carrey proves to be the real star as the Riddler. You can tell he really is enjoying himself in this role. Unfortunatley this film was the start of the 2 campest Bat Films to date & provided a huge backlash from the fans of the original. Watchable but there are better Bat films on offer.

 I like this movie.

I really like this movie but I can't believe I didn't see it sooner. I've seen the Dark Knight and this one and that is it. I think I like Dark Knight better than this because Gotham looks like a 100 years into the future in this movie but in the Dark Knight it looks like an everyday city but a great buy.
