From the producers of The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up comes a comic look at one guy's arduous quest to grow up and get over the heartbreak of being dumped - if he can only make himself start Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Struggling musician Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) has spent six years idolizing his girlfriend, television star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell). He's the guy left holding her purse in paparazzi photos and accidentally omitted from acceptance award speeches. But his world is rocked when she dumps him and Peter finds himself alone. After an unsuccessful bout of womanizing and an on-the-job nervous breakdown, he sees that not having Sarah may just ruin his life.

To clear his head, Peter takes an impulsive trip to Hawaii, where he is confronted by his worst nightmare: his ex and her tragically hip new British-rocker boyfriend, Aldous (Russell Brand), are sharing his hotel. But as he torments himself with the reality of Sarah's new life, he finds relief in a flirtation with Rachel (Mila Kunis), a beautiful resort employee whose laid-back approach tempts him to rejoin the world. He also finds relief in several hundred embarrassing, fruity cocktails.

I thought this film was going to be a real chick flick, but I was surprised, it was so very funny and no bloke could possibly watch it and not laugh out loud.
Although not a stunning HD presentation, the disc is so full of extras that you kind of cut it some slack.
It's been suggested that you should rent rather than buy, I wouldn't agree, if you paid money for this, you wouldn't be disapointed and you would watch it over and over again.........

Being a Russell Brand fan I bought this film hoping it to be a laugh a minute, but sadly although fairly amusing found it to be lame. Don't get me wrong there are some good points but equally some boring ones too thats why my rating is 50/50. The story isn't terrible although predictable it just lacks some of Russell's humour he so rightly deserves to show. My advice is this is one to rent rather than buy.

 Very Funny Comedy.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) is a Hawaii-set romantic comedy starring Jason Segel, Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Russell Brand, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader and Paul Rudd.

The plot revolves around musician Peter Bretter (Segel) who is dumped by his actress girlfriend (Bell). In an attempt to get over her he vacations in Hawaii only to find that his ex is staying at the same hotel with her rockstar lover (Brand).

Jason Segel steps up from his usual supporting roles to star in this comedy. Segel is very funny and has an everyman charm which works well for him. Segel also wrote the script for this movie.

There's great support in this movie from both leading ladies Kunis and Bell. The real surprise though is comedian Russell Brand who steals almost every scene he's in. Judd Apatow regulars Jonah Hill, Bill Hader and Paul Rudd also make memorable characters.

Debut director Nicholas Stoller does a decent job and the movie looks great with its Hawaiian background. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a very funny movie with some great comedic performances from its likeable cast.
