Top Gear: Polar Special - Director's Cut (Blu-ray)

The picture isn't 1080p but it's fantastically clear, showing off the crisp white of the snow to the vibrant colours of the Hilux etc. The sound's DD2.0 but perfectly adequate. Considering the run time, they could have put two specials on but hey ho. Certainly a 'must have' for any die hard Top Gear fan.

The lads are back doin what they do best making entertainment out anything they can fine asblout hign resloution the capibillites of blu-ray showin the artic is just wow the white blinds you make's you there its that outstanding. If your a fan of top gear its a must have if you dont own any blu-ray players then do get one even if its just to watch this 10/10 for everything
Only left to do is bring out the america , and africa ones , come on top gear keep it up

Although only 15 minutes longer than the broadcast version, the extra bits are surprising and interesting... Picture and sound quality is excellent. If you liked the TV Version you'll love this....

This is one of the best episodes of top gear ever, now its on blu-ray it'll be awesome, hope they bring out more episodes, especially the africa special

this is easily the best picture quality i have ever seen top gear. the colors are stunning the level of detail exquisite you can see every hair on the husky dog
the tread on the huge wheels of the Toyota pickup truck you could count them. the red paint work of the hilux a deep red that stands out against the

i felt that the sound quality just wasn't there when in part both clarkson and may were talking in the tent the sound just seemed slightly muffled overall it
really dident spoil the enjoyment in anyway.

conclusion
this disk being the very first release of top gear on the blu-ray format i was just thrilled to own this disk and watch the challenge in such detail and very much looking forward to future releases of top gear in hi-def. and fully recommend this as a worthy addition to anyones collection

while it doesn't state anywhere on the blu-case that the feature is in 1080p
i probably couldn't tell either way if it was or wasn't.
it also states on the blu-case that due to the nature of filming in extreme environments some footage was not captured in full hd i didn't notice this either well this has been my first ever review hopefully i haven't done to badly.
