When the University downsized the para-psychology department, Doctors Venkman ( Bill Murray), Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) and Spengler (Harold Ramis) make the leap from scientist to Ghostbusters, investigators and exterminators of paranormal pests! Great movie ruined by very low image quality

Visual fx (ghosts, beams, etc.) are nicely restored, but the image quality is awful: lots of noise in dark areas, basically no improvement in details. I have also the dvd version, very little difference. Bad Sony!

I was really looking forward to this blu-ray.
Man was i disappointed. I can't believe how disrespectful this classic movie and the fans have been treated by sony and columbia pictures.
I have bought quite some movies on blu-ray and must say this is the worst transfer ever. I really wanted to slap myself to make sure i was awake. My god, i still can't believe how bad the picture quality is. I still have this movie on vhs somewhere in the attic and would prefer that version. The 3 stars are only for the extra features.
