It's just another day at school for West London teenagers Trife (Aml Ameen) Jay (Adam Deacon) and Moony (Femi Oyeniran): beatings in the classroom, sex on the playing field and drugs in the schoolyard. But things are about to flip sharply for this tight trio and their crowd. With school cancelled following the tragic suicide of bullied pupil Katie, the teenagers are all forced to face their own responsibilities and blame for the situations they have got themselves into.
Compared by critics to Larry Clark's Kids and even the Brazilian drama City Of God, Menhaj Huda's debut is a shocking portrayal of British youth.

This is without a doubt one of the best british films ever made, quite a gripping story with real characters who you actualy care about in some real messed up situations, there is a fantastic cast who all really give good performances, be sure to check out the equaly as good sequal Adulthood as it finishes off the story.
Great film keeps u hooked all the way through,i woched it with my girlfriend and wen it was finished we looked at eachother and sed it was that good we had to go and get adulthood to wotch aswell, recomend 100% +++++
When I first put this on, I was a bit optimistic, especially when the initial scene took part in an London high school (I'm not a big fan of English movies) as I thought this was an American movie from the front cover. However through tolerating the first 30 mins, I actually got into this movie, and the story was easy to follow, and the accurate portrayal of teen life in urban areas such as London fall adjacent with likelihood, what you see on the news, and what you think all rolled into one. Good unique characters each with their own personality and standard of living makes this a down-to-earth and enjoyable watch. I would give this a 3.5, but gave it a 4, not to degrade the movie in anyway
Without a doubt, one of the best films I have ever seen. Was stunning in Bluray and would recoomend to anyone. Recommend you to purchase Adulthood aswell as that is a good sequel.
This is probably the most astonishingly awful film I have ever seen. It wallows in depravity, bullying, violence and criminality, with the message that such things are cool. The film makes passing references to compassion and pity but only to smirk at how uncool such things are.
There are attempts to portray the events in the film as 'realism' but it just isn't true to life. Please don't try to tell me that I have missed the point, because I haven't. It is a blatant attempt to shock by way of glorified aggression, remorseless confrontation and bitterness.
This film has no redeeming features whatsoever.
