Welcome to the no-holds barred epic portrayal of the life of heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. Tyson: The Movie will take you on an incredible journey into the legendary boxer¹s life, from his days as a teenage drug dealer and thief in Brooklyn, New York to his meteoric rise to fame as the champion of the world and on to his shocking and outrageous decline.

For the first time in history, and in his own words, this unparalleled extremist takes you deep into his gritty world of crime, drug addiction and violence. Witness the 'monster' fighting for his reputation and his very life while imprisoned for rape, tearing Evander Holyfield¹s ear off with his teeth and tasting defeat at the hands of Britain's Lennox Lewis... all before finally declaring bankruptcy and revealing the loss of a $400 million fortune.

The top of the world or the bottom of the ocean... there is no in-between.

At last all on one place, AWESOME!

Having been a Tyson fan from the beginning, till the point where his world crashed around him, where he was exploited by the likes of King and Rooney, this is a gem. The insight into Tysons mind as he talks through his inner most feelings and emotions is encapsulating if not a little disturbing in places. His description of how he fears his opponents 'this man who could beat me, humiliate me' along with original early training footage, to breaking in his gloves, to walking to the ring, his confidence increasing all the time, the fear turning to domination to where he steps in the ring, 'now, I'm a god', to then spying the weakness in his opponent before the stare down 'he can stare as mean as he likes, I never take my eyes off him and he knows he has already lost'. Mesmerising sequence. The feeling at some points that this is an oppotunity to excuse his wrong doings and make excuses (sometimes a little protracted) for the misdemeaners and earbitings etc is right there with you, but the vintage fight coverage (although not enough of) is meat and gravy for a fight fan. This man was truly an awsome competitor and force in the boxing world, an all time great, and the veiwing experience takes you through your own journey of awe, elation, sadness, discomfort and finally reflection on how expoited this mans wealth and fame were by those who claimed to be protecting and managing him in his later years.Get it on lu-ray, because... why not? But definitely get it.

Mike Tyson like you€ve never seen him before !

Any boxing fan will not be disappointed with this emotional and breathtaking insight to the most feared and best heavyweight fighter off all time. This documentary shows people another side to the most 'baddest man on the planet' as he discusses his rising and downfall. With unseen footage never before seen this is sure to become an all time classic especially on Blu-ray. This story makes Rocky look like an amateur!

I think this time its really over Mikey!

As many people who have heard the hype regarding this film / documentary I for one was bitterly disappointed with the outcome. I feel we have seen it all before and there was nothing really new to add. For me this was just another sad attempt for the legend Mike Tyson to try pay his gas and electricity bills. If you are a die-hard fan maybe watch it, but I'm confident you won't be watching it again.

Excellent Doc, but not enough extras

This is a superb documentary, giving you a real insight into the life of this incredible fighter. As soon as the menu screen loaded it was obvious that this was going to be a fantastic experiance. Amazing fighting action contrasts with very moving footage of Tyson discussing the death of Cus D'Amato.

Sadly there are very few extras, just a few trailers of other movies, and a 15 minute interview with a Satellite tv boxing expert. Not enough!! The director had tonnes of footage from his interviews with Mike - where's the extras!!! An interview with the Director would also have been good.

Nonetheless, this is a great Disc.

Great Movie but Dvd would suffice

Excellent documentary about Mike Tyson, Give a great insight into the mind of a very extreme individual.
You really get to understand the real Mike Tyson,
Although the interview is shot in HD the archive footage is obviously not.
so the extra money for Blu ray isn't really necessary as there arent any worthwhile extra's
