The supernatural thriller is a stand-alone story in the tradition of some of the show's most acclaimed and beloved episodes, and takes the always-complicated relationship between Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson) in unexpected directions. Mulder continues his unshakable quest for the truth, and Scully, the passionate, ferociously intelligent physician, remains inextricably tied to Mulder's pursuits.

 ROLL ON X FILES 3 !

One word i can say about this film f a n t a s t i c.
I saw it the day it came out 1st august and a week after with my brother the quality of the x files has not gone down one bit its still as stronge as ever it deal'e with grown up relationships and a dark slow burning horror story (classic x files) so if your wanting loads of blood and gore your looking in the wrong place.
This is a scary horror thriller and the x files is as good as ever mulder and scully are on top form and the story is very shocking right till the very end. Chris carter has never done a story like this one befor in the series so it's nice and fresh.
I stongly recommend this film to anyone if you havent seen the x files befor,it dosnt mater you will enjoy it anyway but the fans of the show will enjoy it even more and on blu-ray it's going to look and sound stunning . Its one of the best films that i have seen this year do not miss one of the best film events of the year.
F a n t a s t i c ! ! !

 Mulder and Scully Are Back

I've seen the movie twice now and it's only on it's second day of release at the cinema. I'm a big X Files fan and was sad to see the end off the TV series. I was really pleased to hear that there was going to be another movie.

The movie takes place 6 years after the end of the TV series and Mulder & Scully's relationship has changed. Billy Connolly also stars as Father Joe, who has physic visions. He plays a Xcellent and serious performance and gives it it's X Files element. If you never watched the TV series, you've no need to worry as this is a stand alone movie and you do not need knowledge of it to understand whats happening. However if you are a Phile then there are references to the TV series and actors that were in different eps of the show appear in this movie. If you look closely you will spot Chris Carter in a scene. This movie features Mulder & Scully's relationship heavily so if you are a shipper you will be pleased!

The DVD version will be a directors cut so it will be longer then the cinema version and will contain more gore I hear. Also the Blu Ray will have more bouns fetures then the DVD.

Oh don't forget to watch till the end of the ending credits as Chris Carter gives us a little present.

Being a x file fan i was so excited when i hered that theres was going to be a second x file movie i leeped out of my seat. I wanted to watch it when it came out in the cinema but i was on holiday when it came out and it wasnt in the cinemas for long time very disapointing but a great movie to have in any collection. I would love if they bring back the series

'worth a watch' but..have seen better 'x-file' plots.

'Mulder and scully' return to our screens years after the series finished on 'tv'
After an agent disappears the 'f.b.i. Ask 'skully' who now follows her career as a surgeon no longer attached to the agency to ask 'mulder' who is still on the wanted list to assist them in return for a pardon.
'Mulder's' task includes assessing the credibility of a dis-credited priest ( played by 'billy connolly' ) who claims to have psychic ability to help find the missing agent.
Mulder stumbles upon something far more sinister than expected.
In truth this is typical 'x-files' nonsense that so many of us enjoyed down the years, no aliens though.......shame.
In my opinion this role puts 'david duchovny' in his comfort zone, we came to expect his expressionless approach to the role, and even dare i say liked it.
The film does have some 'gore' scenes, as far as wether it's a 'blu-ray' buy is concerned........probably not...the snow scenes were quite impressive..but....not enough action ect to show this format at it's best, might want to go 'dvd' or maybe just rent .
