 Great film.....Beware the Blu-Ray!

Firstly, I love this film, always have done. To say I was extremely annoyed with this transfer would be an understatement. The Picture is only a tiny, tiny bit better and the surround sound is actually worse!!

Listen carefully at the begining and there is no wind sound on the moors before the music kicks in. Also, when the beast is circling them on the moor the surround sound is non-existent compared to the original dvd version.

Great film but save your money if you have the normal dvd.

A must-see movie for horror and werewolf fans

This classic film really stands the test of time. The ground breaking special effects pre-date the glut of cgi we see today and are virtually flawless - the transformation scene is still the most convincing to this day. The story itself is fun but some of the humour falls flat and is pretty embarrassing really. The roller-coaster tale ends with the predictable tragedy but leaves the viewer feeling satisfied with a fairly non-standard but well-told werewolf story with a few good laughs along the way. The icing on the cake is that the gorgeous Jenny Agutter gets her kit off again. I highly recommend this movie - if you've not seen it buy it - you'll watch it again and again.

 My favourite werewolf movie ever!

Woo hoo, I am so excited this is coming out on Blu-Ray. I LOVE this film! In a nutshell, 2 American guys get attacked by a 'large dog' on the Yorkshire Moors. I won't spoil too much but the gist is the 'dog' turns out to be a werewolf and one of the guys is warned that he now carries the curse and will change at the next full moon. There are some great cameos from Frank Oz (from the Muppets) a young Rick Mayall (look for him during the pub scenes) and also the late Brian Glover ('Nowt Taken Owt!' and Alien 3). Jenny Agutter is a very sexy nurse and there is a lot of gore, a super streak of black humour throughout and it is worth watching to see the fantastic werewolf transformation scene (which is much better than the transformation scene in the Howling) I can literally watch this movie over and over again!

 Favourite Movie of all Time

This is my favourite movie ever. I love it. The special FX at the time where outstanding, but they still stand the test of time even today. Rick Baker is a genuis.

The story itself is pretty awesome, and the blu-ray is packed with features, including a documentary by Paul Davis, which incidently lasts longer than the movie itself! Brilliantly edited and a MUST for fans of this movie, I bought this blu-ray purely for the documentary.

All in all a great blu-ray to have for any horror fan.
